Leaving La Fortuna behind, feeling refreshed from the hot springs beneath the volcano, we headed southeast to Puerto Viejo for our final night before crossing into Panama. 🌋🌴 The border crossing was smooth but slow, and after a few hours of patience, we all made it into Panama. From there, we ventured into the mountains for an overnight stay, anticipating our last stage of the journey.

We hit the road early the next morning, making our way toward the Pacific Coast. Along the way, we tackled one final stretch of muddy, unpaved roads—no one’s shipping home a clean car after all! 🚗💨 Before we knew it, the skyline of Panama City appeared on the horizon. Our epic journey had come to an end, and what an incredible adventure it was! We’ll never forget the challenges, the landscapes, and the memories made.

Time to leave beautiful Honduras behind and head into Nicaragua! 🇳🇮 The border crossing we’ve been dreading didn’t disappoint—it was a slow process, but we pushed through, and by mid-afternoon, all cars were allowed to enter.

In Nicaragua, the theme was all about ci**rs and to***co. We took an insightful tour of a cigar factory and explored a to***co plantation, gaining a new appreciation for these handcrafted traditions. After two nights here, we’re moving on to Costa Rica, where we’ll spend two nights beneath the majestic Arenal Volcano. 🌋 Stay tuned for more adventures!

We bid farewell to stunning Antigua, taking a long, final look at the volcanoes in the sunrise glow. Today, we skirt around Guatemala City and head toward the Honduran border. The crossing goes smoothly, and we soon arrive at Copán Ruinas, where we’ll stay two nights to immerse ourselves in the rich history of the Mayan ruins. After soaking up these ancient wonders, we continue our journey southeast, stopping just before reaching Nicaragua—a border crossing we’ve been dreading. Enjoy these snapshots of our adventure so far!

It’s time to say goodbye to beautiful Flores as we make our way to the historical city of Antigua. 🇬🇹 The journey becomes more mountainous, and the views along the way are absolutely breathtaking. The grand finale? Arriving in Antigua, driving down its charming cobbled streets with an active volcano dramatically spewing ash in the distance. 🌋 Truly magnificent!

This stage takes us across the Yucatan Peninsula, passing ancient Maya ruins and dense jungles. We ended this leg in Tulum, where we spent a night on the beach—a perfect way to recharge.

The next day, we crossed into Belize, with the border crossing going smoothly. However, it quickly became clear that Storm Sara’s is still very present. Flooded roads greeted us, and unfortunately, our excursion to the Great Blue Hole had to be cancelled.

From Belize City, we headed straight into Guatemala, where we’re staying for three nights in the charming town of Flores. This stop will give us plenty of time to fully explore the magnificent Tikal ruins and the surrounding area.

After a well-deserved rest day in the beautiful San Miguel de Allende, we hit the road again, making our way back through the mountains to the stunning coast of the Mexican Gulf. From there, we followed the coastline, weaving through hills and beaches, until we reached Campeche. Here, we’ll be staying for two nights in a charming old hacienda, steeped in history and character. Enjoy these snapshots from this incredible leg of the journey!

We’ve officially entered Mexico! 🇲🇽 While the border crossing wasn’t as smooth as we’d hoped, we made it through and are ready to explore. Our first stop is Monterrey, a vibrant city to kick off our Mexican adventure. From there, we’ll journey through the stunning mountains, eventually arriving in the picturesque San Miguel de Allende, where we’ll enjoy our first rest day!

And we’re off on an incredible adventure!

For the next 5 weeks, we’ll be traveling through Central America, all the way to Panama! Starting from the coast of Louisiana and Texas, we’re making our way down to the Mexican border, soaking up the landscapes as we go.

From cloud-covered beaches to sweeping grasslands and open prairies, every stop is filled with beauty, and we’re just getting started! Here are a few snapshots from our first few days. Stay tuned for more as we dive deeper into this journey!

The final leg of our journey from Halifax to New Orleans has arrived! Over the next few days, we’ll follow the mighty Mississippi all the way down to New Orleans. What an incredible adventure it’s been—from the rugged, barren landscapes of Labrador to the lush bayous of Louisiana. We’re leaving Chattanooga behind and heading west to the heart of Country music—Nashville! 🎶 We'll be staying for three nights, soaking up the city’s legendary sounds with visits to the Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame. After our time in Nashville, it’s off to Memphis, where we’ll dive into the soulful rhythms of Memphis Blues on Beale Street. 🎸 A journey through America’s musical roots!

The inspection trip for the first leg of the World Challenge 2025 is underway, covering the route from Paramaribo to Lima. The journey has already taken the team past Suriname’s wooden houses and through Guyana’s pristine jungle. We are currently traveling along the 4,000-kilometer Trans-Amazonica highway, driving off-road through the dense rainforest. In a week, we will cross into Peru and traverse the Andes, passing Inca sites on the way to Lima, the final destination of this stage.

During The World Challenge Americas, we witnessed firsthand the destruction left behind by Hurricane Helene in the North Carolina and Tennessee area. Fallen trees blocked roads, and once peaceful rivers had turned into destructive forces. The devastation we encountered has left a lasting impression on all of us. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.

Autumn has truly arrived in Virginia! 🍂 The weather is wet, but the vibrant colors of the leaves and the misty mountains create a breathtaking backdrop as we drive through this beautiful state. However, a storm is brewing ahead in North Carolina, and we’re uncertain how it will affect our stay in Asheville. Stay tuned as we navigate whatever the weather throws our way!

Leaving Princeton behind, we head inland towards Gettysburg, where the concrete gives way to lush forests. We arrived in historic Gettysburg and had the opportunity to drive across the famous battlefield—a truly unique experience. From there, it was off to Washington DC, where we explored the National Mall and visited the Netherlands Carillon. We ended the day at the stunning Hillbrook Inn, where we’ll be staying for the next two nights. A perfect end to a day filled with history and discovery!

We bid farewell to the beautiful Cliff House and headed to the famous town of Woodstock! 🎶 Here, we took a well-deserved rest day to dive into the rich history of the town and its monumental influence on music.

After soaking in the vibes of Woodstock, we made our way to The Big Apple! Driving our own vehicles down Fifth Avenue and through Times Square was an unforgettable experience for everyone. A truly memorable day on this epic journey!

With forests turning red, unpaved miles, and glassy lakes, the northeastern USA is a fantastic region to explore. The coast is calling, and in the charming town of Ogunquit, a beautiful hotel awaits us for the next two nights. The lobster is exceptional, the many restaurants and galleries demand our attention, and the weather is so good that the beach is still bustling. The day after tomorrow, we’ll leave the state of Maine behind and head back inland. Stay tuned for more!

Last November, a daring team of 10 adventurers embarked on the South-Africa Expedition, a journey that would take them from the beautiful Skeleton Coast of Namibia to the wildlife-rich Botswana. Their trip began in Ethosha, swept through the safari havens of Moremi and Chobe, and went across the salt pans of Makgadikgadi. Pushing south, they ventured through Botswana to the rugged Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, crossing back into Namibia. Their journey reached new heights in Luderitz, where they braved the infamous Devils’ Workshop in the dunes, emerging victorious at Sossusvlei. Kiwi Challenge Our second Challenge of the year. We are starting in the vibrant city of Auckland on the most Northern Island. Did you know that New Zealand is home to the world's most remote island, comprised of two distinct parts: the North Island and the South Island? The Northern Island is known for its volcanic activity. From the heart of the island, we'll journey to the northeast, where geysers and volcanic wonders await us.
