Just over a week to go until The World Challenge Americas kicks off! This epic journey will take us from Halifax to Panama City, split into two stages: Halifax to New Orleans and then New Orleans to Panama City.
We’re counting down the days until we're back on the road, ready to soak in all the breathtaking vistas, charming towns, and—most importantly—the incredible roads that lie ahead.

Just two weeks left until the launch of our new World Challenge in Halifax! Last May, we scouted the route and hotels, ensuring everything is set for an epic journey. Here are some of our favorite pictures from that inspection trip, each capturing the unique beauty of the area. Prepare yourselves for an adventure like no other!
The final stage of our inspection trip from Halifax to Panama is complete! We navigated some challenging muddy roads, but in the end, we made it to the capital of Panama. What a journey it's been!
But just as we arrived, we received news from the office: the route from New Orleans to the Mexican border needs a rethink. So, it’s back to the drawing board—and back to the US! 🇺🇸 We’ll be rerouting from Las Vegas instead of New Orleans. The adventure never stops, so stay tuned for more updates!
We got up early today, buzzing with excitement—today we cross into Panama! 🇵🇦 The roads were in excellent condition, and the scenery as we drove was absolutely beautiful. We decided to leave the highway behind and ventured into the mountains, where the views were simply stunning.
Tomorrow, we'll reach our final destination: Panama City! It’s been an incredible journey, and we can't wait to share our arrival in this vibrant city. Stay tuned for the grand finale of our epic road trip!
We woke up in tropical Costa Rica today! Our morning started under the imposing shadow of the Arenal Volcano, where we checked out some hotels. Then, we set off eastward, aiming for the beaches of Puerto Viejo. But no journey is complete without a bit of adventure, so we veered off into some amazing jungle routes along the way.
Not all paths were passable, and we encountered a few dead ends, but these detours only added to our day. In the end, we crafted a route we’re truly excited about! Costa Rica continues to amaze us with its vibrant landscapes and adventurous spirit.
Today, we dove into exploring what Nicaragua has to offer, though our visit was brief! 🇳🇮 We soaked up the sights—from beautiful grassy hills to the unexpected delight of escaped cows blocking our path. An interesting day indeed!
But now, we’re already gearing up to leave Nicaragua and enter Costa Rica. As we near our final destination, Panama City, the excitement builds. Each country on this journey has added its unique flavor to our adventure. 🌎 Stay tuned as we continue our drive through the beautiful landscapes of Central America!
And just like that, we're on our way to the Nicaragua border! Last night’s downpour transformed the landscape—rivers and creeks swelled into rapids, and dirt roads turned into challenging mud tracks.
As we left the mountains of Honduras behind and entered Nicaragua, the crossing was a bit tougher than anticipated. But after some waiting and persistence, we made it through! 🇳🇮 Each challenge on this journey just adds to the adventure. Stay tuned as we explore more of what Nicaragua has to offer!
Today was an off-road adventure day! We planned a route that would bring us as close to the mountains as possible. The day was filled with river crossings, steep inclines, and rocky roads, making for an exhilarating drive. But most important of all, the scenery was absolutely stunning. Honduras truly shined today, showcasing its natural beauty at every turn. A lovely day of challenging yet rewarding driving!
Today, we crossed into Honduras! 🇭🇳 Before heading to the border, we explored a detour we plan to offer for the actual trip. The route was scenic and promising, and once we were happy with it, we made our way to the border. Everything went smoothly, and we ended up in Copán Ruinas, a town renowned for its significant Maya civilization site.
Copán Ruinas was absolutely breathtaking. The ancient ruins and rich history made it a truly unforgettable experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone traveling in the area!
We started our morning early and were greeted by the breathtaking sight of clouded mountains. Today, we had the pleasure of driving through the famous Antigua, a city renowned for its rich history and nearby active volcanoes.The architecture and vibrant streets were truly captivating.
Sadly, we couldn’t linger for long as we had more locations to check out for our trip, both on and off the beaten track. Every new destination brings a fresh sense of excitement and discovery. The adventure continues!
Another adventurous day on the road! We did some backtracking, experienced some sketchy ferry rides, and drove through breathtakingly beautiful routes. The mountains of Guatemala are truly a sight to behold, offering stunning views and exhilarating drives. Every twist and turn revealed more of the region's natural beauty.
Tomorrow, we reach the famous Antigua, a city rich in history and culture. We can’t wait to explore its charming streets and iconic landmarks. Stay tuned for more adventures!
And just like that, we’re leaving beautiful Belize after just one day. Guatemala awaits! 🇧🇿➡️🇬🇹 Before departing Belize, we took a trip into the countryside to soak in its charm. Then, it was back on the road and off to the border. The crossing went smoothly, and before we knew it, we were in Guatemala!
Today's adventure took us on our second border crossing of this leg: Mexico into Belize! Despite the rainy, humid weather, we couldn't help but enjoy the puddles it created. Big or small, puddles always bring a smile to our faces!
Crossing into Belize went smoothly, and the highlight? A hand-cranked ferry ride! Big thanks to the amazing gentlemen in the last picture who ensured our safe passage.
Heading west to Tulum today, we ventured deep into the real Yucatan jungle. The air is hot and humid, but that didn't stop us from exploring some of the awe-inspiring Mayan temples scattered across the peninsula. Wow! It's incredible to imagine entire cities thriving in these jungles. Truly amazing!
Today, we followed the coast to reach Campeche. The coastal road was stunning, even under overcast skies. When we returned to the mainland, we took a little detour and found ourselves in the midst of some flooded lands. Adventure at every turn!
Today, we left Vera Cruz and headed to Coatzacoalcos, enjoying a scenic route through Mexico's hills. From Coatzacoalcos, we set our sights on Paraiso, driving past an archaeological site of the Olmecs and along the beach to reach Paraiso. Finding a hotel was a challenge, as Pemex had seemingly booked all the rooms in town. We drove south and found a lovely hotel in Villahermosa just after sundown
Today, we drove over the mountains to Vera Cruz—a beautiful journey with so much to see! This is our last mountainous stage until we reach Guatemala, and it was a memorable one. As we descended into the coastal areas, the hills were covered with thousands of lime trees and cowboys drove by on their horses. It seemed like every house in the towns we passed made their living from this vibrant fruit. What an amazing drive!
Today began with some work on our battery system, setting us back a bit. We retraced our steps, unsatisfied with our route, only to get stuck on the highway for 7 hours due to protesting farmers. Felt just like home!
After sitting still for so long, we were itching to get back on the road. We made our way to Actopan, then ventured back into the mountains towards the coast. Tomorrow, we should see some beaches!
Another day, another beautiful drive! Today, we're heading to Puebla, a city known for its rich history and stunning volcanoes. First, we inspected some hotels in the city of San Miguel de Allende. What a charming place this city is! Then, we hit the road to Puebla. When the mighty Popocatépetl volcano appeared in the distance, we knew we were close.
Today, we finally got up close and personal with the mountains we've been driving towards! Leaving Monterrey, we took a scenic road into the mountains. Halfway through, the pavement ended and the real adventure began! A beautiful day filled with breathtaking views of the Mexican mountains. Let the fun begin!
Today, we crossed into Mexico! 🇲🇽 The journey wasn’t as smooth as we’d hoped—power outages and paperwork made for a longer wait than expected. But in the end, we made it to Monterrey, where we'll spend our first night in Mexico! Excited for the adventures ahead!
Today, we kicked off with a stunning drive through the farmlands of South Texas. Winding our way between fields, we eventually reached the coast and drove along the beautiful beaches of Padre Island. From there, we ventured inland, navigating through ranches and encountering many dead ends—but we found a way! Tomorrow, we cross into Mexico. Stay tuned! 🇲🇽
Our first day back on the road! Today, we traveled from New Orleans to the Texas coast, taking in the sights along the way. We encountered scenic bayous, sprawling farms, towering petrochemical plants, and, of course, stunning beaches. What a fantastic start to our journey! It's great to be back in the USA! 🇺🇸

We continue our inspection trip for The World Challenge, this time from New Orleans to Panama. In addition to the CarChallenge Experience on June 29th, we have a packed schedule for the coming months.
This includes the Collen in Switzerland and the Pyrenees, The Europe Challenge, NorCape, and the Africa Expedition in 2025.
From North America to Europe. We have arrived in Southern France and Northern Spain for the inspection trip for a brand new event in September, the Collen Pyrenees. This event features five days of mountain pass driving in the Pyrenees mountains.
The final day of our inspection trip has arrived! We departed from Vicksburg, tracing the Mississippi River all the way into Louisiana, and finally arriving in New Orleans. What a journey it's been—from the icy lakes up north to the humid bayous of the south. But there’s no rest for the adventurous: in just two weeks, we’ll embark on our next inspection trip from Las Vegas to Panama. Stay tuned for more epic adventures!
Today's journey took us from Memphis to the historic site of Vicksburg. Before departing Memphis, we visited the poignant National Civil Rights Museum—an absolute must-see for anyone in the area. Then, we headed south, following the mighty Mississippi to Vicksburg, where we explored the site of the pivotal Civil War battle. A day full of deep history and reflection.
Almost to New Orleans! Today, we made our way to Memphis, the second-to-last stop on our inspection trip. Along the way, we marveled at our first encounter with the mighty Mississippi River and one of its local inhabitants. The scenery transformed into vast agricultural fields, unfolding before us as we approached Memphis. Stay tuned as we near the end of this incredible journey!

Last November, a daring team of 10 adventurers embarked on the South-Africa Expedition, a journey that would take them from the beautiful Skeleton Coast of Namibia to the wildlife-rich Botswana. Their trip began in Ethosha, swept through the safari havens of Moremi and Chobe, and went across the salt pans of Makgadikgadi. Pushing south, they ventured through Botswana to the rugged Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, crossing back into Namibia. Their journey reached new heights in Luderitz, where they braved the infamous Devils’ Workshop in the dunes, emerging victorious at Sossusvlei.
