20 YEARS SINCE THE LAUNCH OF HOLLAND JACHTBOUW’S FIRST MOTOR YACHT

This year marks 20 years since Anjilis, originally launched as Cassiopeia, became the first motor yacht to leave the Holland Jachtbouw shipyard. She was designed by Bill Langan with an elegant interior design by Candace Langan. Cassiopeia represented an important milestone for the yard in 2004. Her maiden voyage through the Baltic Sea, visiting Sweden, Finland, and Russia, was just the beginning of her remarkable journey.

Built with a semi-displacement aluminum hull, Anjilis effortlessly combined classic looks with modern performance. She reaches a top speed of 24 knots and cruises comfortably at 17 knots, making her a versatile yacht for both relaxed and faster-paced voyages. With accommodations for up to seven guests and five crew members, she offers comfort and luxury at sea.

In 2021, Anjilis underwent a significant refit under Patrick Knowles, refreshing her interior and modernizing her systems to maintain her high standards of performance and elegance.

Reflecting on these 20 years, Anjilis / Cassiopeia highlights Holland Jachtbouw’s commitment to building yachts that combine tradition with innovation. Her story continues to inspire us as we look forward to creating more vessels that capture this unique combination. HERITAGE HIGHLIGHTS: TRULY CLASSIC 80 'PALMYRE'

Palmyre, launched in 2000, is the first Truly Classic 80. Built for an experienced Dutch owner, she has many unique features that set her apart—starting with a deck filled with skylights that flood the interior with natural light, giving the saloon a warm Mediterranean atmosphere.

She also features hydraulic winches, making sail trimming as simple as pushing buttons, even with your feet. True to Holland Jachtbouw’s philosophy, this yacht, like all Truly Classics, has a hull form inspired by the great designs of Fife, Watson, Herreshoff, and Nicholson. RAINBOW AT THE J-CLASS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

We are happy to share that Rainbow, built by Holland Jachtbouw, took part in the J-Class World Championships 2024. This event, alongside the America’s Cup, is always special, where these classic yachts take to the water and remind us of their timeless beauty.

Seeing Rainbow sail among other J-Class yachts is something we never get tired of. It’s a great moment to see HJB work still so admired on the racecourse, and Rainbow did not disappoint in showing off her elegance.

Ikaron, formerly known as Skippur and Skipper, is a 30m aluminum cruising sloop delivered in 2000 as our first fully Lloyds-accredited yacht. Designed for effortless sailing at the touch of a button, she combines elegance and advanced technology, including eleven captive winches operated from a single console.
