1) The Museum De Hallen at the main square in the city center is now also called the Frans Hals Museum
2) The Stempels Hotel is taken over by ML restaurant.
3) And the plan for the Dome Prison is still is limbo...the University?

While a few features on The Haarlem Walk close their doors in autumn, the wet weather brings many other special features to light. Haarlem is surrounded on the west by a modest forest area. When the sun breaks through or with your rain gear on, get on to a forest path where you will surely spot some exceptional mushrooms. This trail (see film) is between Haarlem north and the beach, through the dunes! The tracks to the beach range from 12-15 kilometers. Do carry your water and food with you. Enjoy Haarlem in autumn too! We did on 15th October 2017.

The Dome Prison at Haarlem will soon be transformed into a University. If the plans go as scheduled, the University should be ready to accept applications by 2019! The plan also incorporates a residential area, underground parking, parks and restaurants.

The 70th edition of the Annual Flower Parade, that goes along the bulb fields and ends in Haarlem. Always a joy to walk past the floats and appreciate the old chestnut and this year the theme was Dutch design...more than evident toch! Took a few photos to share with you.
