It’s a wrap! Almost the end of 2022 and what a year it has been! We are so grateful for all our hard working employees. We end the last (official) workday of the year in style with traditional Dutch oliebollen and Appelbeignets.

Happy Holidays from all of us!
2022 is almost over and what a year it has been for SuperFlora!
We opened our ‘The Mansion’ that provides our employees a great place to recharge during workhours but also used the space for multiple events for suppliers and our staff.
Our team got bigger again.
We launched our new website. www.SuperFlora.nl
We continued to grow in our business.
We had new challenges.
We made the best memories together during sporting events, after work drinks, cooking classes, Sinterklaas and Christmas.

We are looking forward to 2023 and wish you all Happy Holidays and the best for the new year!

🎄 Office Christmas Party🎄 In the past few years we have made such a big transition as a company. From 25 to 110 employees, expanding the office space, developing a new breakroom for everyone to enjoy, while maintaining the same SuperFlora values and culture.
An office party was on the agenda for quite some time and ofcourse we had to make it into a Xmas Glamour Party in our own ‘Mansion’.
The whole company was invited to enjoy a night out with a 5-course meal and a party to finish it off.
It couldn’t be more special to have almost everyone together, to make memories and to strengthen the connection. Maybe it is a start of a new tradition? Special thanks to for the food, for the Xmas spirit and for the party!

Over a year of organizing, postponing and organizing again, it was finally here: our SF cooking class. Together with 50 SuperFlora colleagues we cooked a 3 course meal. Fun evening together with a special welcome to our Kenyan co-workers Lydia and Mercy!

Suppliers Day 2022! Yesterday we had a full Mansion. Together with JZ Flowers we organized our yearly Suppliers Day. It was great to invite our flowers, plants, packaging and technical suppliers to our own ‘Mansion’ for the first time. The central message this year was ‘Meet the customer’ and we shared information about our customers and introduced our SuperFlora and JZ commercial teams. During an informative game of ‘cap on cap off’, one winner went home with the big prize of the night. A trip to Newport to go visit our customers and production location.

Graduation day at the office! We had 13 employees who passed their Flower Academy flower exam today. This course is a great opportunity to learn as much as possible about our main business. 💐 No matter the position within SuperFlora, we encourage everyone to learn. Next up is our 🪴 course! Running a successful business- but not at the expense of our planet. As a company we want more than commercial success alone, we also want to be known as a company that is committed to social responsibility. To be conscious of one of our most important topics 'Sustainability' and to embed this in our way of work, we are organizing a CSR week at SuperFlora.
Every day we have a different topics. On Monday we started with a healthy kick off breakfast, today Frederike Noppers facilitated an inspirational workshop about sustainability. Wednesday is Wellness Day with Yoga, Massages and Workplace Screening. On Thursday we have our charity day with a bake sale and the opportunity to commit to a local charity. On Friday we close the week with a responsible AfterParty.
Creating a connection between the world around us, our responsible goals and our CSR team is the main goal of this week and we are counting on a successful first edition.

Anniversary day! 4 of our employees had a work anniversary today. We are so proud that they developed so much and stayed at SuperFlora for 15,20 and 35 (!) years. Our Procurement Controller Ton has been a financial asset to our team for 35 years. Something we are extremely proud of and thankful for. We also had 2 new employees starting today, so hopefully they will also enjoy, develop and continue their career for a long time at SuperFlora.

Introduction Day!
Last week we had our Introduction Day for new employees. This day gives SuperFlora the opportunity to really give our new team a warm welcome and to let them experience what SuperFlora is all about.
We started with cake ofcourse, then took them to our partner grower Arcadia Chrysanten, they had lunch with our General Manager Remco to talk about SuperFlora, different departments gave a short presentation and we ended the day at LTC Naaldwijk for a tennis & padel introduction.
A full day that ended with drinks in the sun.

Retail is and remains people business. Personal contact and short communcation lines is what we love! It's the people that really make SuperFlora great. That is why we need people! Good people. People that match with SuperFlora's 'DNA' as we like to call it! Flowers & Plants or Retail experience? Nice to have, but we can teach you that. We are more curious what drives you and if you match well with your co-workers and the way of working within the company. Some of them would like to introduce themselves to you.

Yesterdays party was a party with many mixed feelings! We said ''farewell'' to our Manager of Operations Marnix Paul. After 15 years he decided to leave SuperFlora and the Dutch Flower Group to serve his purpose in life and work for non profit organization 'Mercy Ships'.
Marnix started his career 15 years ago as a Trainee and worked his way up to member of the SuperFlora Board. We all learned from him that together we achieve more. He is a great teamplayer and we used to call him 'SuperFlora's Wikipedia'. He knew everything about SuperFlora and was a great asset to every team.
Marnix left the DFG and SuperFlora to help others and we can only wish him well and be proud that he follows his purpose. We will miss him, but we also wish him all the best!
