Strade Italia 2024, Stage 18-21, FINISH
After 3,5 weeks from the deep south of Italy with temperatures close to 40 degrees Celsius, we finished today almost like eskimos on the snowline of the epic Colle del Sommeiller.
Everyone well done.
We would like to welcome once again. Somewhere, somehow.
You were a great bunch.

Italy is never boring : aquaducts, Cinque Terra, grapeyards, marble rocks, gravel tracks, fields of sunflowers, mountain passes, art, coffee places and a lot more.

Siena and surroundings : rolling hills, lanes of cipresses, grapeyards and the famous white roads. The Strade Bianche.
A heaven for gravel cycling.

Via beautiful hill top villages, Lake Bolsano we ended up at the Cadellic gravel of Tuscany. Wonderful riding.

Strade Italia 2024, Stage 6+7
After a big day with sometimes steep rocky sections yesterday, we had today a short easy day in the quiet Abruzzo region to Caramanico Terme.
Too easy for some us, so they cycled up Blockhaus "around the corner". 2.068 meters in the Italian sky. The most southern climb in Italy above 2.000 meters.

Strade Italia 2024, Stage 5
One of the biggest days in Bike-Dreams history.
142 km of which 25+ km of gravel, rocky tractor roads, swampy farm fields, service roads for windmills and everything in between.
3.200 meters of climbing; more than once 15-20 per cent where hike-a-bike is the only way to get closer to Castelpetroso; our destination of to day.
10-12 hours on the bike. Even for experienced cyclists.

Windmills, agricultural land and gravel on the way to Lucera. No-one else on the roads, except 33 brave cyclists.

Strade Italia 2024, START
Start near the lighthouse of Santa Maria di Leuca, the "end of Italy", or "the beginning of Italy"; it depends the way you look at it.
2.200 km of adventurous km's are waiting.
The first 121 km through Puglia to Manduria were already extremely hot, and it looks that we have to deal with these temperatures the next couple of days.

Nice - Mont Blanc - Nice, Stage 13-17
You don't have to be a professional to ride on the roads of the Tour de France.
These days we are cycling in the training area of the professionals including Pogacar, Evenepoel, Geraint Thomas, and many others.
The last stages of our tour to Nice include many places and cols of the last days of the Tour de France 2024, including de Col de la Bonette, Col Couillole, Col de Turini, Col de Saint Martin and Col d'Eze.
Today we arrived in Nice after 20 days and a great trip through the French Alps. The weather conditions were not always perfect, but the scenery and atmosphere in the group was every day a great pleasure.
A wonderful bunch to be on the road with.

Thanks for your company, and we would like to welcome one day again.

Nice - Mont Blanc - Nice, Stage 9-12
How does a lunch break looks on a shivering cold, rainy day over de Col de la Croix de Fer and up to l'Alpe d'Huez ?
Luckily, we had also some good - but relatively cold - stages over de Col de la Colombière, Col des Aravis, Col des Saises, Cormet de Roselend and Col de la Madeleine.
Today we recover on top of l'Alpe d'Huez from the efforts of the past few days.

Nice - Mont Blanc - Nice, Stage 6-9
After a super tough Col de la Loze, a heroic climb of the Col du Petit St. Bernard with cold rain on top, a shuttle through the tunnel of the Col du Grand St. Bernard, we were treated yesterday with outstanding conditions above the clouds at the Mont Blanc. Magical.

The Lacets de Montvernier, up and over the Col de Chaussy followed by an optional gravel shortcut to the Col de la Madeleine under once again great conditions.

Nice - Mont Blanc - Nice, Stage 4
Up and over the Galibier through the tunnel 1 km below the top with meters of snow on the side.
Many days on the bike are beautiful. Some days are more beautiful than others. This was definitely one of them.
Close to perfect !!!

A sunny start out of Nice, a gorgeous ride through the Gorges de Daluis followed by an heroic passage of the Col de Cayolle and a glorious day over the Col de Vars and Cold d'Izoard.

La Grande Boucle des Pyrénées 2024, FINISH
Three beautiful last days to the finish in Nice, including the iconic Mont Ventoux and the superb ride along the rim of the Grand Canyon du Verdon.
We made it all the way from Barcelona through the Spanish and wet French Pyrenees without serious incidents.
Everyone, well done.
Chapeau.

Wonderful riding between Carcassonne and Malaucène with the Gorges du Tarn, the Corniche d'Ardèche, vineyards and rolling hills through French countryside.

Balkan Boulevard 2022 Exceptional riding conditions in Montenegro. Due to the heavy rainfall (and predictions of more) we have made the exceptional decision to cancel the stage and to drive to Tirana, instead of riding. First time in Bike-Dreams history that we have made such a decision. Not proud, but probably wise (at least according to all riders).
