Meet Anastasia - our new localie in Gdansk 🇵🇱

Anastasia is also a part of the Localie Central Team as SMM Manager.

About two years ago, Anastasia accidentally moved to Europe, and her life took a 180-degree turn.

The entire life of our new localie is connected with creativity: modelling, content creation, and working on social networks. In the future, Anastasia dreams of making films as a director, and she is already working on her first short film.

Gdansk has become Anastasia's new home now - a very strange, but interesting city! She's sure that not many people have ever planned a trip Gdansk, but she advises everyone to add it to their list 🤓

Gdansk is rich in important historical events. It was here that the Second World War began, and the famous Solidarity trade union, a workers' movement that helped Poland get out of the USSR, also emerged.

And, of course, the main feature of the city is the sea 🌊

There are many different places and views around Gdansk where you can admire the Baltic Sea.

There are also several beautiful old centers and other authentic places to explore in Gdansk 😍

Gdansk is part of the Tricity, an agglomeration in northern Poland (together with Sopot and Gdynia). This means that upon arriving in one city, you can see three cities at once because they are all very close to each other.

February 24, 2022 was a terrible day when the most ridiculous war in the modern world began.

Today marks one year since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Throughout the year, we have watched people rally around the globe to show their support and admiration for the resilience of Ukraine.

They express solidarity and support for the Ukrainians who are fighting for their and OUR freedom.

One symbol of this support is the blue and yellow Ukrainian flag, which can be found today in all corners of the Earth.

As an international project that operates in almost every country, we have decided to publish photos with the flags of Ukraine from different countries. We hope to help people understand that there are many more people who are against war and in favor of peace.

What a weekend!🔥

On Saturday we were exploring Zeeland with these beautiful people:

✨ Alexey and Irina are originally from Crimea and were studying at the local university at the time when Russia annexed the peninsula. They are standing on Ukraine’s side in this battle, and had to flee the war and move to The Netherlands. Irina works in digital marketing at JetBrains while Alexey is a senior UX designer at Amsterdam office of EPAM. Guys are a source of billion stories! We couldn’t stop listen to them!

✨ Max and Nastya moved to Amsterdam with Semrush from St.Petersburg.

✨Andrew is a truly multipotential as he had so many different professional experiences including a role of the marketing director! Now, he is launching his own startup and moved to Amsterdam following his wife who is working for Semrush.

✨ Sergey and Naryana moved to The Netherlands just a few weeks ago following relocation by their Silicon Valley based company.

✨ Larissa lives in The Netherlands already for over 7 years. She works in finance department of the Dutch company preparing reports for the shareholders.

Fun facts:

😝 we all have discovered that almost everyone has an experience of living in Tbilisi in 2022, and there were plenty of funny stories about our experience

😝 almost everyone had an experience of living in St.Petersburg — so we could call ourselves “a St.Petersburg - Tbilisi crew”.
