This December 4th, join us in spreading joy and greenery! 🌱

Write a heartfelt Christmas card on special seed paper, and at the end of the year, we’ll take all the cards to a greenhouse where the seeds will grow into plants and flowers.

Next summer, these blooms will brighten the lobby at WTC The Hague, creating a lasting memory of the season’s spirit. The more cards, the more flowers 💡💐

Scaffolders, ladders, empty boxes and decorators in the lobby... That can only mean one thing: Christmas chaos has started!

Our decorators have begun decorating our building, because, why not? We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, the work will be finished next week. If you get back to the office on Monday, make sure you'll bring your Christmas spirit.

Shubh Diwali!

Today and tomorrow are the days of Diwali, the Festival of Lights; one of the most important festivals in India.

At WTC The Hague we have a large Indian community. Therefor we would like to celebrate Diwali with them and with you. We hope you enjoy this lovely Laddoo, a popular Indian sweet made from ingredients like flour, sugar, and ghee (butter), shaped into round balls. We'll be handing them out in the lobby today.

Diversity Day 2024

You put the world into World Trade Center 🌍🌎🌏

This year, we celebrate the world you make within World Trade Center.

Did you know that our own community is a beautiful tapestry of people, cultures, and nationalities? That’s why we’re using Diversity Day 2024 as a kick-off for a special Diversity Year at WTC The Hague.

Together with our tenants, we’ve explored the rich variety of cultures present in our building. Starting today, we’ll not only celebrate Easter and Christmas but also the holidays of the largest communities within WTC The Hague.

Say hello to our A+++ energy label

We have some buzzing news: WTC The Hague has received new energy labels and we sure got an upgrade ⚡

As you know, sustainability is a continuous pursuit of WTC The Hague. We're striving every year and every day for greater awareness and climate-friendly adjustments.

Therefor we're happy to announce that the E-tower has been upgraded from energy label A to A+++. A big achievement, we worked hard for. The C-tower also got an upgrade to label A+.

Of course we won't stop here. Follow us to stay updated about our forward-thinking energy efficiency policy. And if you have any ideas, feel free to let us know.

Here's your gentle reminder for this week's challenges for .

Challenge 1

We challenge everyone to take as many steps as possible in the upcoming weeks to the week for vitality. Whoever uploads a screenshot or video of the number of steps they took in 1 work week and has taken the most steps, wins a chair massage or a beauty treatment from Chris Beauty. 1, 2, 3 go!

Challenge 2

Sitting still is the new smoking and therefor we dare you to get up and move. The challenge is plain simple: stand up and take a short exercise break every hour during your workday.

Picture or it didn't happen; submit a photo or video of your little moment of vitality in the community. The winner will be chosen based on the most creative and energetic exercise moments. Ready, set, go!

Challenge 3

What's your type of lunch? Healthy and nutritious or quick and easy? It's time to switch things up and go for that rainbow meal; prepare the most colorful, balanced and creative lunch at The Eatory and upload a picture of this healthy feast. Buon appetito!

Vitality Week is coming – Time to get moving

Next week, from 23 to 27 September, WTC The Hague is celebrating . So brace yourself, because we got a whole lot of activities and challenges planned.

In short, so you can free up some time in your agenda:
- Monday 23 September: Want to join the lunchwalk with yummy lunch by The Eatory? Sign up via the community.

- Tuesday 24 September: Want to sign up for the smoothie bikes? Sign up via the community;

- Tuesday 24 & Thursday 26 September: Want to sign up for the free NJOY EGym or box clinic? Sign up via the community.

- We challenge everyone to take as many steps as possible during this week. It has to be at least 40.000 steps... More info on how to participate and win will follow;

- More challenges and thus more prizes will be announced. Make sure you'll check the community or the socials.

It's just to good to go

We always think about waste, but this week even more so because it's (us against) . A perfect moment to reflect on everything that is too good to go at the Eatory and Cucina & Bar Donna.

Thanks to our collaboration with Too Good To Go we:
- saved 319 meals
- avoided 880 kg of CO2 emissions
since January 1st.

Doing good with good food tastes best!

Never forget 9/11

Today we remember the victims of the attacks of on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001.

On this picture you see one of the twin waterfall pools surrounded by bronze parapets that list the names of the victims of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

It's (goodbye) at WTC The Hague

Since it's waste week, let's talk about our Orbisk | Zero Food Waste system that is serving in The Eatory and Cucina & Bar Donna.

You may consider the system as a smart scale. In short: before the food ends up in the waste bin, this system takes pictures and weighs the food. Then all data is analyzed:

- The first five weeks we only collected data to be able to do a 0 measurement;
- During this time we have already managed to reduce our waste production by 51%;
- Did you know that this device works with AI and therefore assesses every photo to place it in a category?

Community clean-up day! ♻️🌳💚 To kick off #plasticfreejuly we're organizing a clean up day in the area of WTC The Hague; this Thursday 4 July. The aim is to clean up waste and keep the environment clean, getting to know other tenants and getting a bit of exercise at the same time.
