The main canal that runs through the center of is called - which literally means ... drum roll please 🥁 ... old canal"!! 😂

It is lined with shops, restaurants, cafes and more - not only at street-level, but also along the lower wharf-level. It is always bustling with people ... so we often say, "It's always Saturday along the Oudegracht!"

Join us for a walk along a section of this 2km-long canal and much more!

is a public park (one of the oldest in the Netherlands!) and a national monument. Running 5km long along the canal that wraps around the center of , this park was designed by J.R. Zocher in 1830 when the city walls were demolished. It was intended to be a nice walking park for the city's residents, and continues to serve its purpose nearly 200 years later! ❤️
