is a public park (one of the oldest in the Netherlands!) and a national monument. Running 5km long along the canal that wraps around the center of , this park was designed by J.R. Zocher in 1830 when the city walls were demolished. It was intended to be a nice walking park for the city's residents, and continues to serve its purpose nearly 200 years later! ❤️

It often gets overlooked in favor of more "touristy" destinations, but what we hear most commonly from out-of-town visitors is: "I'm SO glad I decided to come here!", followed closely by "I should have planned for more time here!"
