Life at sea has shaped who we are, evolving from Gerlé’s years as a cargo ship Captain to our family now sailing together as a crew.

Being away from the family was never easy. Eventually, Gerlé and Jacobine made a leap of faith: we sold our house and bought a ship. A very robust, luxurious ship with the look and feel of a yacht. It was love at first sight!

Now, this ship isn’t just our home — it’s our way of exploring the world as a family. Our sons Ben and Levi are the crew members as well, learning everything from navigation to ship maintenance. Together, we’re running intimate Arctic and Norwegian expeditions for just 10-12 guests, creating unforgettable experiences under sail.

Life on the ship is a mix of hard work, adventure, and connection. We’ve traded comfort for something far richer—living and sharing this journey with those who come aboard. And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.
