This year will be the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Trianon, which is one of the greatest tragedies in the history of Hungary.
The tragedy and the pain of the nation are exacerbated by the fact that European people to this day do not know what has happened and do not understand why we are talking about it so much. I have summarized it in a few points to make it clear:
1ļøā£ Hungary was dissected by the Western powers after World War I. (So āānot after World War II. To put it very simply, we can say that the country was not dismembered because we were allies of the N***s, but vice versa. We became allies of the N***s because our country was cut up.)
2ļøā£ According to the justification, Hungary was cut up because we caused World War I. Today, it is a fact for everyone that Austria and Germany caused the World War, Hungary was just as much a victim as everyone else.
3ļøā£ At the outbreak of World War I and throughout the war, we were under Austrian oppression, until the end of the war. (We have been under Austrian oppression for 391 years from 1527 to 1918.)
4ļøā£ The Treaty of Trianon punished Hungary and the Hungarian people with no reason as they were innocent. (Moreover the collective punishment of a nation was already illegal at that time).
5ļøā£ During the hearing, the representatives of Hungary were locked in their hotel room and could not take part in the drafting of the contract.
6ļøā£ The outcome of the Trianon peace dictatorship:
Hungary has lost 75% of its territory, including Transylvania. We have lost 55% of our population, 84% of forests, 90% of iron ore mines, 100% of salt, copper, gold and silver mines. We have lost our Adriatic seaport, our mountains, at least 50-60% of our architectural and cultural treasures of the last 1000 years.
And maybe the most painful: countless families were torn apart.

Did you know that 100% of the listed monument buildings in Slovakia are Hungarian?
And did you know that even Austria got from the Hungarian territories even though they were really guilty of the outbreak of World War I and they were our oppressors for nearly 400 years?)
7ļøā£ Did you know that the then US President refused to sign this unfair treaty? The British and Italian prime ministers have also expressed their outrage but in the end they signed.
If you still do not understand what happened to Hungary, I will say it very simply: an exploited, oppressed, weakened people were robbed by the European great powers.
A wounded country lying on the ground was torn apart jointly by European countries as if they were hyenas.
This unprecedented crime has caused severe psychological trauma to millions of Hungarians. The trauma was not allowed to be talked about for about 70 years. We did not process this mental trauma, the extent of the psychological damage is immeasurable.
Moreover Hungarian minorities are still suffering in the neighboring countries, in the stolen areas. Hungarians are persecuted, hurt and insulted, even by politicians to this day, and EU don't do anything.
We will never accept this because if we did, we would betray our own souls with it. And we would betray our ancestors who fought for this country and for this nation for more than 1,000 years.
If we accepted this crime that happened to us, we would get worse than the perpetrators, we would sell our souls to the devil.
So this is why we are talking about Trianon and we will talk about it for as long as needs to be.
