Claasen Shipyards and Hoek Brokerage present a beautiful 77 foot fully completed hull of the Pilot Classic project by Hoek Design.

The opportunity is offered to finish a yacht within a remarkably short building time, while including the client’s personal preferences when it comes to the usage of their yacht.
This project, for example, includes the option to enjoy a silent evening at an anchorage, or swimming, lunching and lounging without the noise and fumes of generators running. Whilst having ample hydraulic power for regatta racing with alternative power sources.

The full extent of customisation comes down to the Owner’s preferences versus the build flexibility and quality Claasen Shipyards are widely known for.

Design studies and preliminary GA’s already exist for this project and can be modified to the Owner’s wishes.

All other plans and drawings will be produced in cooperation with the new Owner of this stunning yacht.

his exciting Pilot Classic 77 Aluminium Hull has been built by the iconic aluminium construction yard Bloemsma Aluminiumbouw in the Netherlands.

An unsurpassed degree of engineering, welding and plate forming resulted in a high level of construction and plating fairness.

The PC 77 hull is designed by Hoek Design and different interior layouts options can be found in the brochure.

In these unprecedented times, our thoughts also go out to the crew on yachts around the world, that are unable to move and cannot be reunited with their families. We wish them lots of patience, courage and good health!

We believe we will get through this by working together and supporting each other. We will contribute as much as we can to make it happen.

With love and patience, nothing is impossible.

Claasen Shipyards has an excellent location on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Our place at the heart of the Dutch yacht building industry and close to Schiphol International Airport is ideal for owners, who wish to visit the yard during the build. It is also a great spot for owner’s representatives and captains, whom we offer accommodation, office space and other forms of support during the project.

When she was completed in 2010, the 43.4 m Lionheart was the largest J-Class yacht ever built. Lionheart was the first of her kind with an aluminium hull and incorporated lots of research gleaned from previous Js to make her as competitive as possible in the regatta circuit. These extraordinary photos show Greenland in all its beauty, shot during a unique voyage on Mark Rohr's 90ft truly classic Acadia. One which helped spark this owner’s investigations into climate change in the marine environment.

“We are very fortunate to have an opportunity to sail around the world, interact with so many fascinating people and learn from their experiences,” Rohr concluded.
“I hope Acadia can play a role in elevating awareness of the fragile nature of our marine environment and through that help get others involved to do what they can to protect the oceans and life on earth. We’re just trying to elevate awareness and to be honest we’re just getting started.”
