Western Norway Film Commission promotes the region as one of the world’s most cinematic and spectacular destinations for audiovisual production.
Ever since Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back chose Western Norway as the location for the ice planet Hoth back in 1979, the region has been the preferred filming location in Scandinavia for projects looking for something out of the ordinary.
