We recently enjoyed an unforgettable visit to Pater Noster, an award winning property on the secluded island of Hammeskär, on the western coast of Sweden. 🌊🏡 Originally the Lighthouse Master's home, this place combines rich history with stunning design. From the freshest seafood to serene ocean views, every moment here was magical. Perfect for those seeking tranquility and adventure. Thank you for having us - we can't wait to return! ✨️🌅
As we turn 11 today, we think back to last year, when we went on the journey of a lifetime to the Caribbean. Thank you Team TLTD, past and present. 💗

If you love trains but hate siting, the small ski-town of Veggli offers a brilliant alternative! Modified bicycles that ride within retired train tracks take you through dense forest, along glistening lakes and around the base of mountains. But don’t forget to arm yourself with flashlights and head lamps as you will also travel though the dark tunnels that open up to historical rail-side picnic stops. With the ability to go for a swim, buy some local honey, enjoy local baked goods and taste track-side berries, this unique experience is truly one to be discovered 🚂
The decision to visit Scandinavia is not heavily influenced by the desire to see strange or exotic animals. Yet one small critter who you may not know exists here outside the famed video game character is the hedgehog. Found across Scandinavia, it is a favorite in gardens both for its endearing appearance and its preference for eating a large variety of garden pests. With a steady population, hedgehogs are likely to be found scurrying around woodlands, meadows and pastures. If you would like to observe one of this adorably prickly mammals, we recommend adventuring out at night as hedgehogs are largely nocturnal. Here in Scandinavia, hedgehogs are protected under the Berne Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats, so the next time you go out for an evening walk, don't forget to look down! 🦔
