Celebrating Midsummer in our home region, Lillehammer. Midsummer is one of the great events at the open air museum, Maihaugen. There is a lot going on in the open-air museum like concerts, dance, actors in costumes, hosts in historical houses, craftsmen doing traditional handicraft and activities for children. Not to forget, the lighting of the bonfire.

Trakai Island Castle delights our traveller, Annika this weekend, located in Trakai, Lithuania, on an island in Lake Galvė. The construction of the stone castle was begun in the 14th century by Kęstutis, and around 1409 major works were completed by his son Vytautas the Great, who died in this castle in 1430.
