The River House

At the heart of Oldervik village, perched on the river bank and with superb views of the Lyngen Alps. Perfect for friends and family all year round. Fishing, swimming, beach-combing, walking, skiing or watching the Northern Lights. Traditional two-storey village cottage. Sleeps 4-6 people in 3 ½ small bedrooms:

Cosy living room with imitation wood stove, comfy sofa, chairs, dining table and fabulous sea view! Family kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker etc, and wood-burning stove. Kitchen table and window seat with the best views in Oldervik. Bathroom with toilet, shower and under-floor heating. Heating is with the wood-burning stove, plus electric heaters in the bedrooms. Where in Oldervik? As you arrive in Oldervik, facing the sea, the River House is immediately on your right. It is the yellow house on the river bank. Extras (included)

Books, board games, Wi-Fi. For very young visitors we have a high chair, folding cot and selection of toys. Summer: The river! Great for paddling and fishing. Also the sea, only 50m away. Winter: 4 pairs of snowshoes, several plastic ‘bum sledges’. In winter, the field behind the River House is shielded from the village street lights and great for watching Northern Lights. If you want complete darkness, simply stroll about 800m to the edge of the village. Access

Bus stop is at the shore, 50m away but if you ask the driver he will drop you at the door. Car Parking: We have off-street parking, right beside the house. You might have to shovel snow away first! There are three steps up to the front door.
