Had a fun day yesterday with a group from Sweden, afterwards we came across the official lunch hosted by the government, for the Duke and Duchess of Luxemburg, at Villa Parafino. Guess you never know what to expect, on a rainy day!!!

Fram Museum - Fram Museum

Almost forgot to congratulate the "Fram Museum" at Bygdøy/Oslo with their 75th aniversary on may 20th 2011! The museum is a treasure with polar history, covering the ship "Fram's" expedition in arctic waters, from Nansens North Pole in 1893, Sverdrup in 1898 to Amundsens reaching South Pole in 1911. A visit for everyone!

Hip hip hurray! On May 17, all of Norway celebrated our national day, the birth of our constitution from 1814! Changing the logo temporarily with festive images, important from our democracy, The Royal Palace, Parliament House and Oslo University. Don't forget that celebrating May 17th in Norway is another, once in a lifetime experience!

Just came back to Oslo from Haugesund! Weather conditions were on the wild side, stopping us from crossing Haukeli, because of winterstorms! As a benefit we had to do a detour along the Hardanger Fjord, making it almost a 24 hour journey. This photo was taken at sunrise 6.a.m. over Ulvik. Nature is wonderfull...

Just have share this clip! It's from a Norwegian Broadcast series called "Mission Sognefjorden"! Unfortunately the show can't be seen outside of Norway! Here you'll see an insane moment from a human "Flyby" in 250 km/h. Insane moment, but as always, enjoy!

I mellom 200 og 250 kilometer i timen fløy Jokke Sommer og Tom Erik Heimen bare centimeter unna tilskuerne i en såkalt «flyby». Opptaket ble gjort i forbindelse med NRK-programmet «Oppdrag Sognefjorden».
