We are thrilled to share a wonderful review from a couple who recently celebrated their 30-year wedding anniversary with a trip organized by Authentic Scandinavia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"We celebrated our 30-year wedding anniversary with our friends in Scandinavia, and we LOVED IT ALL! Our ten-day adventure included Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Flam, and Bergen. Many thanks to Authentic Scandinavia for organizing an unforgettable trip. The itinerary was well organized, allowing us to travel through three countries by trains, boats, and buses.

One of the standout experiences was the scenic train ride from Oslo to Flam. The views before disembarking in Myrdal and the incredible journey down the mountain on the Flam Railway, including a stop at Kjosfossen Waterfall, will remain in our memories forever. Our favourite overnight stay was in Flam at the elegant Fretheim Hotel, with its beautiful gardens and stunning views of the mountains and fjord.

Copenhagen was a real treat! We loved the city’s vibe, outdoor restaurants, and free concerts in Nyhavn. Our favourite restaurant was Det Lille Apotek, dating back to 1720 and frequented by Hans Christian Andersen. In Stockholm, we enjoyed the changing of the guards at The Royal Palace and the Vasa Museum, which showcases the salvaged and restored 400-year-old warship.

We celebrated our anniversary with a romantic dinner aboard the DFDS Overnight Ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo. It was a delightful and memorable evening. In Oslo, our adventures included visits to the Kon-Tiki and Polar Expedition Museums. Bergen offered stunning views from Mount Floyen after a short funicular ride to the top. We enjoyed walking trails, a café, friendly goats, and a lovely stroll through a quaint neighbourhood near the city harbour after lunch at the Fish Market.

This trip was a perfect celebration of our 30 years together, filled with beautiful moments and unforgettable experiences. Thank you, Authentic Scandinavia, for making it all possible!"

⚠️ Important Travel Update: Trollstigen Road Closure for 2024 ⚠️ Due to an increased risk of rockfalls, the Trollstigen road will be closed for the remainder of the 2024 season. However, the road from Valldal to the Trollstigen Plateau remains open. We advise avoiding peak travel hours due to heavy traffic and limited parking availability. Please ensure to park only in designated areas.

The Trollstigen Gjestegård in Isterdalen continues to welcome visitors, accessible from the Åndalsnes side. For those traveling to Valldal or the Trollstigen Plateau, a detour is available via Åndalsnes – Sjøholt (E136) – Valldal (fv 650).

"Wow! What an amazing trip! My Dad, in his late 70s, wanted to travel while he still felt great. He chose Scandinavia, and my husband and I agreed. While planning, we realized my Dad and I have different travel styles. I prefer spontaneity, while my Dad likes everything planned. Authentic Scandinavia was the perfect solution, helping with hotels, trains, and some activities while allowing us to plan the rest.

One of my favourite parts of traveling is the food. Though my Dad isn't adventurous, we enjoyed various meatballs at Meatballs for the People in Stockholm. We noticed Norwegians love paprika in everything, including Thai and Mediterranean dishes. Corn is a popular cheeseburger topping, and convenience store food isn't half-bad! We were in awe of the fish market in Bergen. The variety of seafood was incredible, and we loved exploring and tasting it all.

Our unanimous favourite was the Flåm Railroad and Fjord Tour. The sights were breathtaking. Coming from dry Texas, we were amazed by Norway's abundant water. The mountains seemed to spurt water from everywhere, and the rivers were raging. The beauty was unmatched, and our photos still amaze us. We loved our travel with Authentic Scandinavia and would definitely use their services again. They were helpful during the booking process and responsive when one of our trains broke down. Their service was excellent."

"My dream of witnessing the Northern Lights came true with Authentic Scandinavia. Along with friends, we chose Abisko in northern Sweden for its high chances of sightings and its famous dry microclimate. Despite late planning and nearly full bookings, Authentic Scandinavia secured us two nights in Abisko and two nights in the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. Landing in Kiruna, we were thrilled to find clear skies and all our luggage intact. Staying in a cozy cabin at STF Turiststation in Abisko, we enjoyed delicious meals at Kungsleden restaurant.

Our Northern Lights adventure began immediately with green streaks in the sky on the first night. The Aurora Sky Station visit was magical, with vivid lights dancing in the silent night. The following night, despite cloudy skies, our photo tour guides' optimism paid off with another magnificent display. The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi featured breathtaking ice sculptures, an ice bar, and a fun ice slide. A memorable dog sledding trip through snowy forests capped off our adventure. We’re already contemplating a return trip! Thank you for the unforgettable days in Swedish Lapland!

We booked a trip to Finnish Lapland and spent a total of 4 wonderful and truly breathtaking days and nights there.We had the unique experience of spending one night in an ice/snow hotel and two more in a glass igloo. Each stay was unique in its own way. The absolute silence in the ice hotel and the incredibly vast and free view of the sky from under the glass dome were unforgettable.

The daytime activities were equally impressive. Not only the snow and the fairy-tale surroundings but also the excursions left us in awe. We had an amazing snowmobile ride and a husky tour. We also had the chance to visit Santa Claus. All the rides, excursions, and overnight stays were top-notch. The service provided by the tour operator was absolutely reliable from the start, and everything went smoothly. We received excellent advice and felt very well taken care of the entire time. We can wholeheartedly recommend this tour operator and would book a trip with them again anytime.

"When my partner and I planned our Europe trip for our seven-year anniversary, we knew we wanted to experience one of the seven natural wonders of the world: The Northern Lights. Authentic Scandinavia's Northern Lights and Winter Break experience with accommodation, dog sledding, and a Northern Lights chase was perfect for us! Before our trip, Authentic Scandinavia was incredible with their service! They provided us with detailed guides on activities, sightseeing, restaurants, and transport. I am a VERY organized planner and worrywart, but with Authentic Scandinavia, I didn’t have to worry or plan anything, making the trip so relaxing and stress-free. Their tips on dressing for the cold were also very helpful.

Our hotel, Clarion Hotel The Edge in Tromsø, was gorgeous, and the staff were lovely. We opted for the gold package, and it was worth it! A highlight was the Fjellheisen gondola lift, where we enjoyed amazing hot chocolates. Our first night in Tromsø, we saw the Northern Lights. The bright green lights were breathtaking, expanding in different directions across the sky. The Northern Lights chase was equally beautiful, though freezing at -20 degrees. Our guide Trine's enthusiasm helped us endure the cold. We were blessed to see the lights clearly twice on our trip.

Our favorite experience was driving a sled with huskies at Tromsø Villmarkssenter’s husky farm. Our guide Pierre truly cared for the huskies, making it a heartwarming experience. We loved meeting and cuddling all the huskies with their unique personalities. We hope to experience the beauty of Scandinavia again and are already looking at the Rovaniemi Santa Claus Adventure in Lapland, Finland. Thank you for an amazing experience,

🌍 We love receiving stories from our travellers, and this one truly captivated us. Meet Alber, a Dominican with an insatiable wanderlust, who recently embarked on our Nordic Adventure tour. Here's his tale of how Iceland transformed not only his heart but also the perceptions of his best friend, who initially joined reluctantly but eventually fell in love with the land of ice and fire.

🛬 Day 1:
Alber and his friend arrived in Reykjavik, Iceland. They explored Reykjavik's nightlife and enjoyed Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur hot dogs at the American Bar. The transition from airport to hotel was smooth.

💦 Day 2:
They visited Sundhollin Public Baths and Hallgrimskirkja Church for panoramic city views. They walked around the harbor and saw the Sólfariõ Sun Voyager Sculpture. The highlight was the Sky Lagoon, where they enjoyed the seven-step ritual.

🧊 Day 3:
They explored the South Coast, including a glacier hike and a mini ice cave experience. They visited Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Reynisfjara’s black sand beach. The day ended with a Northern Lights tour.

🌋 Day 4:
The Golden Circle tour included Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. They tried fermented shark at Loki Café and experienced Reykjavik's nightlife.

✈️ Day 5:
As they left Iceland, Alber and his friend felt transformed by their journey. From Reykjavik to the glaciers, Iceland made a lasting impact on them.
