Hiking Oslo is an initiative to let more people see the beautiful nature surrounding Oslo, as well as learning more about the connection between the inhabitants of Oslo and the surrounding forrest area called Marka. "Friluftsliv" is an important part of the life of many Norwegians, and this is a good way to experience it your self and learn more about this fantastic Norwegian tradition! Unfortunately there is sometimes double morality in the Norwegian government. We are planting more of a tree species to make more forrest as a mean to improve the environment. At the same time we are spending millions to remove the same species because it is unwanted in the Norwegian fauna...

At least, awareness helps.
