🌞 Morning Bliss with Fresh Blood Orange 🍊

There’s nothing quite like waking up and stepping into my garden to pick the juiciest blood oranges!

Blood oranges tend to develop more intense red pigmentation when they experience cooler nighttime temperatures. The drop in temperature at night triggers the production of anthocyanins, the pigments responsible for the deep red color. This is why blood oranges are often grown in regions with a Mediterranean climate, where the temperature fluctuations between day and night can create the ideal conditions for enhancing their color and flavor. So, colder nights can indeed lead to redder blood oranges!🍊

HERBS POWER 🌿
The statue of the lady represents a white woman who played a crucial role during a difficult time of malaria.

Interestingly, the local people were not dying from malaria; it mostly affected white people.

When the epidemic started, she approached the local people of Côte d’Ivoire to ask what kind of holistic and herbal medicine they were giving to sick people and children, and how they managed to stay healthy. The locals shared a large bouquet of various herbs with her to help heal her people. The epidemic lasted until 1903 in Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire.

🌟 Embracing my yoga journey 🌟
I’ve had the privilege of learning from four incredible teachers who have significantly impacted my yoga life: Ivan, Marija, Siri, and Tone. Even after all this time, I feel like a beginner forever, especially with my extensive work and travel. No matter where I go, I always seek out a teacher, and right now, I'm in Abidjan, searching for the right one.
Consistency has been my biggest challenge. Like Ivan says, “consistency is the most difficult asana.” I struggle to move beyond the beginning phase, but I'm committed to improving and working on my consistency. My dream is to connect those four amazing teachers one day!
I still remember the moment I believed I could do that upside-down pose, and it was with Ivan's guidance that it became possible. I miss my classes from Dubai and my tailors and the wonderful community there. It's not just the place that calls you back; it’s the people, connections, and memories that make it special.
As we embrace the energy of the final supermoon in this rare series known as the full beaver moon, let’s take this time to build our inner strength for the colder months ahead.

Friendship and Family Retreat ❤️
Returning back to 2022, I would like to cherish the special moments I spent with loved ones during our spontaneous and beautiful time in Dubrovnik. It featured the lovely company of Olga, John, Jelena, and my best friend Ivana.
We all traveled from Norway seeking a touch of sunshine, and Ivana was eagerly awaiting our arrival, along with my wonderful parents. My cousin also joined us from abroad with two friends, and together we exchanged conversations, shared delicious meals, and immersed ourselves in the local culture. This was truly a trip to remember! We enjoyed organic food from my garden, lovingly prepared by my mum, dad, and me. Olga delighted in cooking with my mum, learning the cherished secret recipes of Dubrovnik.
One of the highlights of our cultural immersion was attending an open-air theater performance at Fort Lovrijenac, where we watched a stunning rendition of “Romeo and Juliet.” The magical setting added to the experience, making it truly unforgettable.A standout moment was the creative dance I shared with both Jelena and Ivana; it was a magical experience filled with joy that added a vibrant spark to our time together. I also treasured the midnight conversations on my terrace under the starry sky with Olga and Jelena. Our explorations of the old city with Olga and John were equally enchanting, as we wandered through the charming streets, creating unforgettable memories.
Jelena, Olga, and John meet some wonderful friends who have made Dubrovnik their home, coming from the USA and Australia. They have found paradise here, having lived in the city for quite some time, and their stories enriched our experience.
Even our dog Rita was happy with so many people in the house, soaking up all the positive energy. In addition, we adopted a cat named Mimi, and with plenty of space and a huge organic garden, they are learning to get along. Wine tasting, swimming,🌊relaxing and meeting at the place where happy people meets. 💗
We all look forward to returning to this wonderful place to connect with each other and to explore the natural beauty of Dubrovnik and its surroundings all over again. 🍊

🌍✨ Thinking back to our unforgettable journey to Lisbon in March 2020, where my dear friends from Norway and I joined the Soul of the Nature and Cultural Retreat. Staying in a musical hotel, we fully embraced the soul of Portugal—soaking in the sounds of fado, tasting incredible dishes, and letting curiosity guide us to new adventures at every turn.
COVID-19 was already on the horizon, but we made the most of those last precious moments before the pandemic hit.

One special memory that still brings a smile is of a wild orange tree that seemed to greet us everywhere we went. This familiar Mediterranean friend didn’t just brighten Lisbon’s streets; it tugged at my heart, bringing me back to my beloved Dubrovnik, where the wild orange is deeply rooted in both our gastronomy and landscape. 🍊

Remembering these beautiful moments fills me with gratitude and a longing to create more memories with the people I love. 🧡

Hello, everyone!
I wanted to share a little story about my journey and some exciting changes ahead. During the pandemic, when I couldn’t go to a salon, I decided to open my own nail studio. I learned a lot, built connections, and grew a wonderful community of clients I truly cherish. Though I’m less involved with nail design now, I don’t want to lose the legacy of that time. So, my daughter, Lana, will continue the studio, exploring nail design as a hobby as she prepares for her studies.

Now, I’m moving in a direction that has long been my passion: hosting retreats in Dubrovnik. Over the years, I’ve organized many and various retreats centered around culture, adventure, wine, and gastronomy, as well as family and friendship. Moving forward, I’m excited to bring more wellness into these retreats, creating a balanced, restorative experience for everyone.

A heartfelt part of this journey has always been my parents and their beautiful garden. It’s a place filled with love and inspiration, and it will continue to be a cherished part of the retreat experience, offering the same warmth and natural beauty that has always touched the hearts of those who visit.

To reflect this new path, I’m renaming my business page from Trones Studio to Wild Orange Dubrovnik. The nail studio will stay on Instagram under Trones Studio.

As for the name Wild Orange, there’s a story! When I was naming the nail studio, I wrote several ideas on paper, including Wild Orange. My friends loved this name because they felt it truly suited me. Both my Croatian and Norwegian friends chose it as their favorite. At the time, I wasn’t quite ready to use it in Norway, so I chose a name based on where I lived. But now, with this new chapter, I feel ready to embrace the Wild Orange identity that resonated with so many of you.

Why choose Wild Orange? Because She is special and represents both calmness and vitality.
Not only does it symbolize this balance, but Wild Orange is also one of the cherished symbols of Dubrovnik, deeply rooted in the local culture and landscape.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We made it here together, and I can’t wait to share what’s next 🍊

Mango day! I’m excited to share that I’ve received some delicious treats from around the world 🧡

Today I got fresh, mango from India from colleague from India. This mamgo was incredibly sweet and taste I never had before.

Same day I also received some amazing dried mangoes from another colleague from the Philippines. These dried mangoes are a fantastic snack, with a rich, concentrated sweet flavor.
A big thank you to the wonderful colleagues and for sharing these delightful mangoes with me. I fixed my nails before I left 😍
