🙃 The question we get asked the most:
“What do the dogs do in summer?”

The answer? Simple.
The same thing as everyone else!

Sure, they rest — they’ve earned it. But they also go hiking, take in the views, climb to mountain tops… and for the water lovers? Yep, they hop into the canoe with us.

Summer is also puppy season here.
During your visits, we take the little ones out for walks, give them lots of love, attention, and a bit of early training. (Okay… the grown-ups get their fair share too.)

Just because it’s not winter doesn’t mean things slow down — life at the kennel stays full of moments, movement, and care. 🐾

🛶 New adventure: tested and approved!

We just got back from a 3-day canoe expedition in the heart of wild Norway — testing out our brand new guided experience.

Three days gliding over alpine lakes and winding rivers, surrounded by epic mountain scenery and nothing but the sound of our paddles slicing through the water.

We slept in hammocks, cooked over open fires, added fresh fish to the menu, and followed a rhythm that felt simple, raw, and real.

Top it off with a hike to a cultural heritage site and a good dose of laughter… and you’ve got the kind of deep disconnect that does wonders.

That's a wrap for snow season ❄

We'll remember the cold and warm days, the busy days, and the quiet mountains, the excitement at every start and the well deserved rest at the end of the day. The cuddles, the sunsets, the beauty of it all !

Now let's make room for the puppies 😍, the exciting waters of the river 🌊 and the calm ones of the lake. The breathtaking views on the mountain tops, the chilling days in the dog yard and the berry picking on the islands !

🏆 2025 DOG AWARD CEREMONY ✨

We had a special event Sunday. Yatzy and Quiche, our masters of ceremony distributed some awards, with very special and delicious prizes for the winners 🍗 (of course there was some consolation prizes for the others 😉)

The prizes have fairly been attributed regarding of results (ex: amount of tours run) or through the guides vote.

Og du, hva gjorde du i påsken?

We decided to go camping ⛺️, sledding, ice fishing, barbecuing and enjoying the mountains one more time 🥰 and Oh how it was stunning !

Running a team of dogs a certain way to match the needs of a creating team....well, let's say it's a challenge !

We've become quite good at it. "We" as a team.
🐺 our superstar dogs whom we have built this relationship of trust with, and us with our experience and understanding of image and adaptability.

Thanks to and a few TV shows we have now gain the confidence we can match your needs should you ever request our expertise in the matter !

Hvem har ikke det?

Inkludering har tatt et imponerende steg fremover de siste årene. Det er ikke noe nytt, men denne synligheten er avgjørende i media. Alle som har fulgt, og fortsatt følger historien om Team Pølsa kan sikkert bekrefte at synet på funksjonshemming har endret seg, og vi har fått et bredere perspektiv
Vi føler oss alle mer involvert i møte med så mange følelser, i møte med utfordringene som denne situasjonen innebærer, og som likevel møtes, ikke uten vanskeligheter, men med mer besluttsomhet.

Beito Husky Tours, og Beitostølen har i flere år jobbet med inkludering når det gjelder å ta i mot turister. Team Pølsa ga oss en uventet mulighet til å implementere prosesser som vi vanligvis tester på vårt eget lille nivå. Det var en ære å hjelpe Teamet med deres utfordring i episode 3 (som du kan se på NRKs nettsider), og å være med i et program som utvilsomt vil føre til store prosjekter innen inkludering.

Så lenge vi lærer, går vi fremover!

Inclusivity has taken an impressive leap forward in recent years. It's nothing new, yet this visibility is crucial in the media. Anyone who has followed, and still follows, the story of Team Pølsa can certainly admit that their view of disability has changed, that it has gone beyond a simple word or label.
We all feel more involved in the face of so many emotions, in the face of the challenges that this situation implies, and which are nonetheless met not without difficulty but with unfailing determination.

Beito Husky Tours, and more broadly Beitostølen, have been working for several years on the notion of inclusivity in terms of welcoming tourists. Team Pølsa offered us an unexpected opportunity to put into practice processes that we usually test at our own small level. It was an honor to help the Team with their challenge in episode 3 (which you can watch on the NRK website), and to take part in a program that will undoubtedly go on to initiate major projects in the field of inclusivity.

As long as we're learning, we're moving forward!
