"I’m not sure why I ever hike in the middle of the day, since the most beautiful light and views are always in the morning and evening. Or better yet in the middle of the night in the summer here in the north thanks to the midnight sun.
This hike was no exception and the light of the midnight sun and the trail itself definitely did not disappoint. 🥾🌄
P.S. You don’t have to go to Lofoten for amazing views and mountain hikes in Norway. Vesterålen is just as (if not more) beautiful 🇳🇴😌"

Our guest had planned to do this hike since she came to Norway 5 years ago. They weren’t sure if they was going to see something that day, but it was better than expected! Being above the clouds is her favorite thing while hiking!

Whale Wedensday 🐳 What a beautiful day outside Andøya just before Easter 💙
Sea Safari Andenes / Whale2Sea reports of 15+ sperm whales in the area, some forming small groups.
They see this pattern every year in March/April, but are unsure what causes it.
Most likely diet of course, which seems to change throughout the year for our sperm whales.

Right now, the slopes in Vesterålen are well prepared and the avalanche danger is just at level 2, moderate (yellow) ☃️
The cold and clear weather gives us nice, ice-blue mornings, pink days and golden afternoons ❄ 🧡
And vi love the snow and all the activity we can do outside.
