☀️ There’s been a lot of talk about the sun these past few days.....and this Friday, we’re keeping the theme alive with a true ray of sunshine!

🌍 If there’s one story you should read before the weekend, it’s this:
An incredibly uplifting tale about our friend Gill Punt, who is making the world a better place.

✨ She also ensured that our proud sponsors of the Ishavskraft Marathon got to be part of something amazing—a world record!

Gill Punt (UK) has raised more than £1 million for a cancer charity following the tragic loss of her father - and she's broken some records along the way, while dressed as a polar bear.

🌞 Sun, running, and record-breaking vibes – in the middle of winter!

A picture of the sun? In January? Sounds odd, right? But we have plenty of reasons to celebrate right now:

👉 Brighter days ahead! This Wednesday, the sun finally returned above the horizon here in Tromsø, marking the end of the Polar Night.

👉 Record-breaking numbers! We already have more runners signed up for the Midnight Sun Marathon 2025 than we did in March last year. The running wave sweeping the world is incredible!

👉 PolarNight Marathon 2026 registration opens this Tuesday – the same day we celebrate the return of the sun in Tromsø. Don’t miss your chance to join next winter’s big running adventure!

Som mange av dere vet, fører Mørketidsløpet (og MSM) hvert år til noen stengte veier. Vi gjør vårt beste for å informere dere om dette på forhånd.

Dersom du bor på øya eller planlegger å kjøre bil på lørdag, anbefaler vi at du tar en titt på våre trafikkreguleringer – særlig hvis du bor på Sør-Tromsøya. 🚙⚠️

Vi setter stor pris på at dere er positive og viser forståelse for disse endringene. Har du spørsmål, må du ikke nøle med å ta kontakt! 💙

Under Mørketidsløpet er det behov for trafikkreguleringer. Vi må sperre noen deler av løpstraséen for ordinær trafikk, og det er en rekke boligområder som eventuell må regne med forsinkelser for inn/
