Manaslu Expedition (8,163m)

What is Mt. It is also known as Kutang. The location of this mountain peak is in Mansiri Himal in Gorkha district of Nepal. “Manasa” in Sanskrit means “Mountain of the Spirit” is converted to this Gorkha’s highest peak Mt. Manaslu as "intellect" or "soul". Manaslu is situated about 40 miles east of Mt. Annapurna of Kaski District. Manaslu is an imposing mountain being

a 3092m prominence it extends from crops cultivation area to the area permanently covered with snow and ice; hence it looks like a serrated wall of snow and ice hanging in the sky. Manaslu's long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape. Manaslu region is located in Central Nepal and was opened to trekkers only in 1991. But lots of mountaineering expedition teams had access for long time. In 1950 a group headed by H.W. Tilman trekked this area for the first time and ever since this area has been quite popular among tuff trekkers. This area is still restricted to a limited number of groups and only organized trekkers in groups can trek in this area. Manaslu region is very remote and rescue is very difficult. This is possible wilderness area to live leopard of snow. Yet the trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. Lots of people residing in this area especially in the upper Buri Gandaki (river) Valley are Tibetan. A place in this valley called Nupri (meaning Western Mountain in Tibetan) is a trading center among Tibetans and Tibetans residing in these areas. Manaslu Expedition:

Mt. Manaslu is located in a remote and isolated area and the first photographs were obtained only in 1950 by British expedition. It was surveyed for climbing by Japanese expedition in 1952 and after few attempts between 1953 and 1956 Manaslu was finally climbed by Japanese in 1956. This Japanese team was all of female team introduced a first women successor of climbing over 8000m peak. Manaslu Expedition requires more time than other 8000m Peaks in Nepal due to long approach to reach to the base of the mountain. However, we can use a helicopter to make an expedition shorter. This Manaslu Expedition is one of the most dangerous mountain climbing activities and hence we suggest to choose this trip only by the experienced climbers. Manaslu Expedition Spring 2017 Itinerary

Mount Lhotse (8516M/27,940ft.) was first climbed on May 18th,1956, when Mr. Fritz Luchsinger and Ernst Reiss from Switzerland. In 1955 the International Himalayan Expedition team, led by Norman Dyhrenfurth, reached 8100m on Lhotse. The group included two Austrian climbers Erwin Schneider, Ernst Senn, and two Swiss Bruno Spirig and Arthur Spöhel. They went with almost 200 local porters and eight climbing Sherpas guide. After a brief look at the dangerous southern approaches of Lhotse Shar, they turned their attention to the Northwest face of Lhotse. The groups were beaten back by unexpectedly strong wind and cold temperatures. When the team noted the coordinate of 27° 57'45" N 86° 56'03" E was the real summit location, south col became the usual climbing route. The caravan route of Mt. Lhotse Expedition is the same as the route with Mt. Everest. All expedition team of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse reach just below the South col on the Lhotse face and set up camp I, II, III at the same place. After considering the history and previous climbing experience, Friendship World Treks noted that Mt. Lhotse Expedition is too technical compared to Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Makalu.

Two years ago today, I stood on the top of Shishapangma and it was mission complete. I managed to climb all 14 death zone peaks in just 6 months & 6 days.
It was an incredible feeling – and it was a victory for everyone. For everyone that has a dream, for everyone that wants to go above and beyond. I wanted my 14 Peaks Challenge to inspire people with the love of the Big Mountains, but more than that, I want everyone to know that if you set your mind to something you can achieve it - no matter who you are and where you come from.
Hard work, dedication, commitment, experience and humility will get you there. 👊🏽💥
And the truth is, I’m just getting started. There is so much more to achieve. So I'm super excited to announce that my film 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible will be out on on November 29th Worldwide . I’m so excited for this next chapter – thank you for joining me on this adventure! 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Stand by for the next week 🙌🏽🙏🏽

must get cold hands, I wonder if his bottom gets really cold too being on the ground? Wet and then frozen clothes must be a big concern.

After a building collapsed killing over 20 people, Rustam miraculously survived but lost his legs. While some, perhaps most, would give up on athletics and climbing, Rustam is a rare beast.
On Oct 2 at 10am he made the foresummit of Manaslu, the eight highest mountain in the world, which is an incredible
accomplishment, even for those with legs.

"В это мало кто верил, но я это сделал!
2 октября 2021 года в 10.00 утра я стоял на вершине горы Манаслу.
Я написал новую страницу в истории альпинизма, став первым в мире человеком, который поднялся на восьмитысячник на одних руках."

, 19 yrs Young boy made it to Manaslu main summit as First Chinese to reach there. He tried Lhotse/May2021 in last spring but gave up because of two different cyclones. Since then he couldn’t go back to home because of Pandemic. He was bored staying in Kathmandu so he joined us on Manaslu and he made it to the summit. He used to be 150kg last year and now he is of 100kg and still getting fit and fast.
