Chitwan National park is one of the finest national parks in Asia. It lies in the plain lowlands of south-central Nepal and covers an area of 932 sq. km. It is listed a UNESCO natural World Heritage site since 1984 AD.
Chitwan national park is renowned for its variety of vegetation and wildlife in the world. It is a common home for many endangered species of animals such as The Royal Bengal Tiger, Greater-One horned Rhinoceros, Leopard, Baison (Gaur) as well as Sloth Bear, wild boar, monkeys, deers, 2 kinds of crocodiles including rare Gharial, over 568 species of colorful birds, snakes and butterflies.
