Avalanche on K2 Expedition 2023!!
This is one of the Avalanche witnessed by our team near the Great Serac" below the Bottel Neck Serac on K2 Expedition while descending down from the summit.
"Great Serac is a massive hanging glacier or ice cliff that poses a significant hazard to climbers attempting to summit the mountain. This imposing serac is located on the Southeast Ridge route of K2, at an altitude of approximately 7,800 meters (25,590 feet).
Climbers and mountaineers approaching the Great Serac must exercise extreme caution and move quickly through this section to minimize exposure to its inherent dangers. The risk of ice and rockfall is ever-present, making it a treacherous passage on the already challenging ascent of K2.
Climber witnessed Avalanche multiple times while ascending/descending but everyone safe & successfully crossed the critical part. 🙏

Indeed, reaching the summit of Mt. K2 is a historic achievement, and it holds great significance in the mountaineering world. Mt. K2, also known as the “Savage Mountain,” is renowned for its treacherous conditions and technical challenges, making it one of the most difficult mountains to conquer.
Teamwork, efficient management, and unwavering dedication are crucial components in successfully reaching the summit of such a formidable mountain. It shows the strength of character, determination, and perseverance of the entire team to overcome obstacles and achieve their goal.
