Chris has made it to Manaslu Base Camp where the clouds cleared to reveal mighty Manaslu - a welcome respite after three days of rain. Chris plans to hike to the Base Camps of all the 14 highest mountains. This is Base Camp 3 of 14. Most mountaineers take a helicopter ride to base camp and forgo the beauty of the trails leading up to Base Camp.

The Indian diaspora in the US and the UK and also those who reside in India have begun to become more involved in outdoor activities - many come to trek in Nepal. We had the opportunity to host three groups of Indian origin this year and have found them to be fun-loving, easy-going and appreciative of mother nature. Here are some photos of a group that recently completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek.

Even in late October our groups on the Manaslu Circuit trek encountered snow on the pass. We recommend micro-spikes for all our groups trekking over the Larkya La (Manaslu Circuit) and the Thorung La (Annapurna Circuit) passes. These passes are in central Nepal. Our groups in Kanchenjunga (Selela) and Everest (Renjo la, Cho La) which are in Eastern Nepal encountered little or no snow on the passes.
