DAWA partnered with Bally(Swiss Luxury Brand) to clean-up the Everest.
“It’s expensive!! You don’t just nip up to the Death Zone with a garbage truck.”

DAWA started running “Eco Everest expeditions” in 2008 to educate people what’s happening on the mountain as a result of pollution and climate change. He was inspired after seeing that climbers left garbage behind.

Een gigantisch nieuw wandelnetwerk met liefst 780 km aan wandeltracés door het erg gevarieerde landschap van de Oost-Vlaamse Faluintjesstreek (ten Z van Aalst) tot de Vlaams-Brabantse gemeenten Vilvoorde en Zemst via Buggenhout, Londerzeel, Asse, Meise, Kapelle-op-en-Bos, Merchtem, Affligem, Wemmel, Opwijk en Grimbergen. Wandelnetwerk Brabantse Kouters wordt met een wandelevent op 23 september feestelijk opengesteld te Oppem (Meise). https://www.toerismevlaamsbrabant.be/hoofdthema/wandelen/feest-in-het-landschap . Nieuw is ook dat een deel van het netwerk enkel digitaal bestaat (het deel ten oosten van de snelweg A12) maar via een wandelapp ( https://www.toerismevlaamsbrabant.be/hoofdthema/wandelen/wandelapp.html ) met de smartphone kan worden gevolgd (ook offline). Over een paar weken is ook de papieren netwerkkaart beschikbaar (eigenlijk twee kaarten omdat het netwerk zo groot is) én een belevingsgids.
