To truly understand someone’s feelings and emotions in their present life requires a deep level of empathy. Be the person who can shoulder even a small part of a stranger’s burdens, offering kindness and support when it’s needed most. In 2023, we embarked on an unforgettable journey to Makalu. On the morning of May 29, 2023, we stood at the summit of Makalu, blessed with clear skies and perfect weather. Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world, is situated in the Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal-a majestic testament to the grandeur of the Himalayas.
Impossible views of Mount Everest from 20,000 feet 🚁 This journey to the top of the world was one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever had. The sheer scale of this place is incredible, and landing in the thin air above Everest Base Camp will definitely be a favorite memory for years to come. Note: commercial flights to Everest region is completely banned starting from Jan 01, 2025
Typically we leave camp very early and stay ahead of the crowds. This particular night was very cold and windy so we decided it would be best to sleep in and climb during the warmer temps of the day even though we knew we’d be behind slow climbers. We protect our clients and none of them got frostbite this day. And they all summited Everest the next morning.
On May 21st, during an ascent of Mount Everest with @inoxtag and @mathis_dumas, these remarkable images were captured, showcasing the breathtaking scale and beauty of nature in all its majesty. Flying a drone over Everest reveals the incredible power and vastness of this iconic peak, a truly magical and unforgettable experience, as featured in the documentary KAIZEN. Hope it resonates and brings inspiration!
We will share with you in the next few days images of the final ascent and descent. Here is Everest Camp 4, which is at 8,000 meters above sea level. Behind is the south summit at 8,750 meters above sea level.Oxygen is the most precious commodity in what is called “the death zone” since there is very little oxygen in the environment due to the altitude and you should stay as little as possible above 8,000 meters. We stayed 2 nights in that area and it requires high care.
