Today is the 61st anniversary of 1st Successful Ascent of Mt. Dhaulagiri, 8,167 m, 7th highest peak in the world. On May 13, 1960, a team of Swiss-Austrian-Nepali expedition led by Max Eiselin, successfully reached the top of the majestic peak.

"Dhawal" means dazzling, white, beautiful, and "Giri" means mountain. Dhaulagiri 1 is the highest point of Gandaki River basin. Dhaulagiri massif extends 120 km from River Kaligandaki west to River Bheri. It is separated from the Annapurna massif on its east by Kali Gandaki River which forms the Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, Kathmandu. Height: (1.350 m) 4.428 ft. Distance: approx. 5 km (3,2 miles), 20 to 30 minutes drive after your arrival at Kathmandu airport, we greet you. We represent and transfer to your hotel. In the evening greeting dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant with authentic Nepali cuisine and cultural program. If your flight is in the morning or afternoon, we can arrange some short tours (optional and if you're not tired) overnight at Kathmandu Hotel. Note: Airport pickup is included in this tour.

Day 02: Kathmandu - Pokhara Drive. Height: (827 m), 2.713 ft. Distance: 210 km, approx. 6-7 hrs. Drive Breakfast is included in your trip, usually breakfast starts at 6 am; 00 am. At 6; our staff will be at your hotel at 30, until then we hope you're ready. On the way you can see the Trishuli River (if you want to stop for rafting, let us know), beautiful landscapes, Himalayas, waterfalls, markets and many interesting things. When the day is clear, you can see beautiful Himalayas mountains along the way and finally drive to your hotel. This evening you are free alone, you will receive the Pokhara Valley map at the hotel reception and they will give you direction of Fewa lakes and places to enjoy the evening. Have a peaceful evening.

Day 03: Pokhara Sunrise and Pokhara City Tour 5-6 hours. Their day starts with Sarangkot sunrise tour. It will be different depending on the season, but it's worth going to Sarangkot early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise and mountain views. Sarangkot is one of the best viewpoints in Pokhara for panoramic mountain views. After Sarangkot drove back to the hotel for breakfast and refreshments. Around 9.30 pm 10 your tour to Peace Stupa, Davis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Mountain Museum and Boating at Fewa Lake will begin. You can enjoy the walk around the lake and beautiful restaurants on the lakes to eat. Last night in pokhara

Day 04: Pokhara flying Kathmandu (25 min) Kathmandu sightseeing - Nagarkot height; (2.175 m) 7.136 ft. Distance: 22 km 45 minutes your flight time is around 9:00 am. They will be taken to Pokhara airport. In Kathmandu you will be welcomed by our guide and start the Kathmandu City Tour. Before going to Nagarkot, let's take you to Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa and Bhaktapur Durbar square. Our guide will suggest lunch to you either in Boudhanath or Bhaktapur Durbar square after Bhaktapur drove to Nagarkot. Check in at the hotel and enjoy the quiet evening, sunset and mountain views.

Day 05: Final departure Enjoy breakfast with sunrises and beautiful Himalayas. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. If your flight is delayed or time permits, we will visit Patan Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa (monkey temple). Brought to international airport in your flight schedule includes a vehicle. Airport time is 3 hours before your flight.
