| Lukla and Pokhara Update

4 Nepal Airlines flights, 2 Tara Air flights, 1 Summit Air flight have already brought back around 95 pax in Kathmandu. One NA flight is en route to Lukla now. Tourists are being rescued from Pokhara via both air and roadways.

Meanwhile, NTB is also following strict health guidelines and conditions, set by the government.

Urgent Notice about the Suspension of Visa-on-arrival

The Government of Nepal is monitoring the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19). Taking into account the global recommendations and measure of the WHO, the Government of Nepal has decided to temporarily suspend visa-on-arrival for the nationals of the following countries, effective from 10 March, 2020 to till the date of further notice:

1. People's Republic of China, including Special Administrative Regions

2. Islamic Republic of Iran

3. Italy

4. Republic of Korea

5. Japan

However, those willing to visit Nepal can obtain visa beforehand from the Nepali Missions abroad. Applicants in these countries are required to submit a recently issued health certificate with the visa application.

However, the Department would like to clarify that it has not authorized any agency or third parties for collecting Visa Applications and visa fees. Shuttle Bus Service for Tourists to & from Airport on Election Day, May 14, 2017

Nepal Tourism Board with the coordination of Tourist Police has arranged shuttle bus service for the national and international air passengers from airport to various hotels and vice versa on Local Election on May 14, 2017. Passengers can contact directly to the Tourist Police at 1144 (Toll Free Number) to know about the movement of buses. Bus will start running from 6 am in the morning. Nepalese Rupees 300 (Three Hundred Rupees only) will be charged to each passenger for this shuttle service. The shuttle bus will operate in three different routes as follows.

Route 1: Airport - NAC - Newroad - New Road - Hotel Annapurna - Hotel Yak & Yeti - Thamel Chowk - Lainchour Chowk - Hotel Shanker Hotel - Airport
