If anything taught me how to do hard things this trek to Base Camp Mt. Everest takes the cake. 🏔️
I learned how to not only push my body but nurture, protect and love it. I was constantly in gratitude and awe with how much my body did for me. Being a female presenting person I really have felt the pressure to look, act and be a certain way. In the comfort of my own home I’ve been critical to my body more than I’ve been proud of it. But in the stress of the mountains I hugged it, kept it warm, fed it and paid more attention to it than ever. ♥️
I saw my mind, body and spirit being in partnership with one another.
For the first time of my life I let my body be the leader and not my mind. And surprisingly enough my mind was happier.
Since coming back I’ve been giving my body more attention and I’ve been happier. Because brains are what we’re prized in my family, school, and how I could make a living, I’ve leaned so much on my intellect that my mind was always the leader by default. I was forsaking my body and soul.
This year my words are inspired action. And I’m looking forward to taking more action out in nature! 🏔️🌱🌼🌹
Thank you to my guide if you want to climb in the Himalayas I couldn’t recommend their business enough. 🙏🏽♥️⛰️
