A review translated from Spanish to Enlgish From a Recent Trekker With Us. So pleased to share.
It was more than 20 days of trekking. My brother and I, from Argentina, we did not have an experience of so many days. We also did not know that part of the Himalayas. Any expectations that we had before leaving, were absolutely exceeded by reality. It's hard to say these things without falling into a kind of "commonplace." But it was exactly like that, without exaggeration, and in every way. The trip included the 10-hour van ride from KTM (part of the experience) to Phaplu, where we started the trek. My memory is bad to remember names and data, but I can say that the experience we lived was extraordinary, wonderful and unforgettable.
Undoubtedly, for those like us who are passionate about mountains and nature, only the place provides unique scenarios, in which landscape and culture are mixed (as in few places) (people with a unique kindness wherever you go, the " villages ", the wonderful stone constructions). But what allows you to fully enjoy this "situation", without having the concerns of these trips that have their unforeseen events and complex logistics, is for the organization to "flow."
I can say, once again, without exaggeration one bit, that in this the organizer: AMBER, and our guides LOCKE and PURI, made everything turn out perfect! Cope without much training to walk for more than 20 days, for 7 to 9 hours a day, alternating heights of between 2000 and 6000 meters. The very idea may seem exhausting. However, the way everything was organized for us, and the ability of our guides to always find the time for a tea in a dream place, the perfect place for a leisurely lunch, until the brief stop for a respite and a drink of Water. Everything made us always be - although sometimes tired, of course - but with a feeling of "relaxation", which could be the word that could define our trip. It is impossible not to mention the permanent FLEXIBILITY, to define and redefine things, always with the focus on what we want. Everything -in addition- under the permanent feeling of being "cared for", with that good, balanced, and infrequent fair mix of high professionalism and marked warmth.
The trip had everything, from route changes that we wanted, to my own return a few days early, almost towards the end, where I did not feel well and naturally and without emergencies, or surprises, AMBER from KTM coordinated with my insurer, my return ("rescue") to KTM by helicopter. My brother continued to the EBC, and after three or four days of walking they took him back to LUKLA, from where he took his plane to KTM as planned. They also took care of our accommodation at KTM, our transfers to and from the airport, and even our departure PCR tests! In short, for those who are looking for an adventure of this type, with pleasure and very calm, I strongly recommend this small, professional, warm organization, where everyone knows the terrain perfectly, they know perfectly what they are doing and provide a service absolutely personalized and "tailor-made" for each one!
