Gyalpo losar "ग्याल्पो लोसार "

Gyalpo Losar is a special time for Sherpa communities in Nepal, Sikkim, and Darjeeling, as they celebrate the Tibetan New Year. It lasts for two weeks and features traditional dances showing important stories. On the first day, Changkol is enjoyed, representing new beginnings. The celebrations end on the third day with feasting. Traditional foods like Gutung soup and Khapse pastries are enjoyed, along with firecrackers and dances like Syabru, adding to the festive atmosphere.
