Our Story
For almost 13 years, the guides of Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition, with a combined experience of well over one hundred years, have opened the magnificence and rare purity of the Himalaya and its people to its guests. Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition is the lifework of one dedicated leader and the cooperative effort of the families of the Tamang village of Thulo Parsel. Thulo Parsel is a small village in the Buddhist Tamang Ethnic Area of Nepal. Together with the Sherpa Peoples, the Tamang are the primary high mountain expedition guides. A percentage of Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition profits is donated to the Tamang Peoples’ social welfare. Because Himalayan Vacation Treks comes from the efforts of the local men of Thulo Parsel and Tamang, Himalayan Vacation Treks gives yearly base retaining salaries and furnishes trekking clothing, equipment, and training to its staff, unlike many other Nepal Trekking companies who hire staff when needed. Our company was established in July 2008, by PALSANG TAMANG. HV Treks organizes itineraries in the high hills/Himalaya region as well as tours and sightseeing in the main cities of Nepal. The company also organizes rafting in various rivers and jungle safaris in Nepal’s national parks. HV Treks is composed of a number of regular, long term, dependable staff. Staff includes experienced guides, cooks, and porters.
