As a sustainable tour operator, we didn't just wish a happy World Environment Day - we took action. Our team at Trekking Team Group embarked on a two-day outing focused on cleaning religious sites, planting trees, and providing refresher training for our guides. Regrettably, not all guides could join us; some were already on treks, while others had returned to their villages after the season. Amidst breathtaking hikes and beautiful weather, we trekked from Sanga to Panauti, enjoying panoramic views along the ridge. Overnight, we were graciously hosted at Balthali Mountain Resort by Rajan Ji. We took pride in our environmental efforts, engaging in tree plantation and guide training sessions, while also enjoying some well-deserved barbecue and cold beers.
On the second day, we ventured to Ladkeshwor Mahadev at the confluence of the Rosi and Ladku rivers to tackle the aftermath of heavy foot traffic. Despite recent festivities leaving behind a significant amount of waste, we were fortunate to receive blessings from the guru of Omkar Channel for our environmental initiatives. After a successful three-hour cleanup campaign, we returned to the hotel for lunch and headed back to Kathmandu. As a token of appreciation, we rewarded our senior guides with useful watches, concluding a fulfilling trip under our company's CSR efforts.
