With eight mountains that are above 8000 meters residing here, this place is like a Mecca for all those mountain lovers. We take an amazing mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From the airstrip we trek north through pine forest to the hustle bustle Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar, from where we will encounter magnificent Thyangboche Monastery on our way down from Base Camp.

Here, in the shadow of the Everest massif and Ama Dablam, and surrounded by Mani walls, chortens and prayer flags.
