Janaki Mandir
Maybe you have read the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, about the Goddess Sita and Lord Ram 😊
Or maybe you are interested in architecture? Or just curious about interesting places?
The marble Janaki Mandir lies at the heart of the city Janakpur and it's one of the grander pieces of architecture in Nepal. It's built in extravagant baroque Mughal style and the temple is dedicated to Sita, the wife of Rama and heroine of the Ramayana. And it’s believed that the temple stand on the spot where King Janak found the infant Sita lying in the furrow of a ploughed field.
Nepal is a country full of wonders and interesting attractions. Janaki Mandir is one of many hidden treasures.

Mountains
Did you know that in Nepal, you can find seven of the ten highest mountains in the world?
No wonder, then, that many people come to Nepal because of the mountains.
Even if you don't climb the mountains, you can enjoy just looking at them. And take photos, of course.
The mountain on the photo is Machapuchare ("fishtail" in English). It is located in the Annapurna massif. When you visit Pokhara, I'm sure you will get many nice photos of the mountain.

Welcome to Tihar 2024 in Nepal
Tihar is also called the festival of lights and it celebrates the victory of good over evil.
The celebrations lasts for five days from October 29th to November 2nd.
To help ward off the darkness of the night of the new moon, all of Nepal is decorated in string lights, candles, and clay lanterns. Most markets, homes and temples are beautifully lit up in celebration. And people are singing and dancing around every corner.
