The ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) has recently prohibited carrying portable speakers or loud noise-producing devices in the Annapurna region. This act aims to lessen noise-pollution, improve the experience for foreign and domestic trekkers, and serene wildlife in the area.
Foreign tourists have complained about increased noise pollution due to domestic visitors carrying loud portable speakers. To address this issue, the ACAP has banned the use of portable speakers, although earphones, headphones, and ear pods are allowed. Authorities will seize the devices if visitors in the area disobey the rule.
