Today is a very special day, the Full Moon (the Universal Incense-Offering Day). Today we had a very special Buddhist Pilgarmi trip in Pharping. We embarked on a very special journey to Pharping, a town located about 19 kilometers from Kathmandu. The drive to Pharping takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Pharping is renowned for its religious and cultural heritage, with several significant monasteries and pilgrimage sites to explore.

Among the key attractions in Pharping is the Yangleshö Cave Monastery, a sacred cave retreat associated with Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), who is the founder of Himalaya's Buddhism. Additionally, you can visit the Asura Cave, another important meditation site for Himalaya's Buddhists, known for its tranquil and spiritual ambiance.

Your day in Pharping will be spent soaking up the serene surroundings and immersing yourself in the cultural richness of the area. It's a full-day excursion dedicated to exploring the religious and spiritual aspects of this beautiful region.

The Mera Peak (6,470 m) Climbing of Normal Route is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal, located south-east of Mt. Everest. The trail for Mera Peak Climbing begins through the incredibly beautiful Makalu Barun National Park (Hinku Valley). This well-preserved and uninhabited Hinku valley below Mera Peak is one of the wildest and naturally most beautiful in Nepal, with its massive mountains, glacial lakes, and stunning mountain views.

We allow proper rest and acclimatization and make use of high camp to ensure 100% summit success.
During the climbing expedition, we ascend three summits of Mera Peak, one after the other. From the summit, we will enjoy a stunning and panoramic view of six of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks: Mt. Kanchanjunga, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lho Tse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Shishapangma, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and many other mountains.

High Mountain Himalaya Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. offers highly experienced and professional climbing sherpas and guides to ensure safe ascent and summit success, along with the climbing permit and all other necessary logistics.

Yesterday we had a rest day at Thangang (4,334 m). and we had great hiking near Thangang, which is called Thangnag Ri (5,195 m). We enjoyed our great hike very much. Today our trip continues to Khare (4,915 m).

Today we are at Gorakshep, in the Everest Region, our final destination. After lunch, we climb Kala Patthar (5,545 m), and tomorrow, after breakfast, we go to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m).
We enjoyed it a lot, and the weather is amazing, mostly every day wonderful.

Before climbing the Everest summit, the Everest Base Camp (EBC) can be used as a base for acclimatization. Our climbing guide teaches clients to practice basic climbing techniques as well as become comfortable with climbing gear and ropes. Our clients are practicing utilizing climbing gear and ropes on nearby ice cliffs at Everest Base Camp (EBC). They also practice basic climbing techniques, including belaying, rappelling, and self-arrest. The numerous ropes and climbing tools required for high-altitude climbing, as well as the proper techniques for using each, should be familiar to clients.

It has long been a tradition for climbers tackling Mount Everest to perform a puja ceremony. Buddhist rituals like the puja ceremony are performed to honor the mountain gods and obtain their blessings for a successful climb, as well as to bless the climbers and their gear. At Everest Base Camp, the puja ceremony is usually held prior to the start of the climbing expedition. A Buddhist monk, or Lama, who has been specifically invited to the Base Camp for this occasion, leads the ritual. The Lama conducts the ritual while reading prayers and carrying out different ceremonies to elicit the assistance of the mountain 🏔️ gods.

The climbers take part in the event by presenting various objects for blessing, such as their food, clothing, and climbing gear. An altar that has been prepared for the event is where the offerings are put. When the rites are finished, the Lama burns juniper branches and sprinkles holy water over the offerings. The climbers' benediction from the Lama is the ceremony's high point. In front of the altar, the climbers will form a line, and the Lama will pray for them all before sprinkling holy water on each of them. This is thought to safeguard the climbers on their ascent and provide them with luck🍀

The climbers 🧗 usually take a day or two rest after the puja ritual to recover from the high altitude before starting their ascent. The ceremony is regarded as a means to express respect for the mountain and ask for its blessings for a successful ascent and is an important part of Mount Everest 🏔️climbing 🧗 culture.
