MUSTANG TREK

MUSTANG:
Mustang" is a Tibetan lost valley and stands as a hidden treasure of Nepal. Trekkers can enjoy visiting the Tibetans there and the most mystic landscape. A breathtaking and timeless journey through the Kingdom of Lo, until recently forbidden to foreigners, its cliff-side villages and majestic rock-faces bathed in the golden afternoon sun, or pink with the early morning's su

nrays. The best of Nepal and Tibet wrapped up in a 10 days trek and at lower altitudes so a great trek for almost everyone. Sculpted canyons with wild rock formations, deep gorges, medieval villages, ancient fortresses, palaces and mysterious, ancient cave hermitages, Tibetan Buddhist gompas and soaring snow-peaks characterize this spectacular region, a 'thumb' sticking up into the Tibetan plateau. Mustang is a Kingdom tucked away along the deepest river gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki, a remote and starkly beautiful region, Tibet's arid high desert bordered by some of the Himalayan's highest mountains. The Upper Mustang region in 2024 promises an extraordinary cultural experience with the annual Teji Festival. Celebrated in Lo Manthang, the ancient walled city, this vibrant event usually occurs in late May or early June, lasting for several days. The Teji Festival is deeply rooted in Tibetan Buddhism, featuring masked dances, rituals, and performances by monks, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The city comes alive with colorful costumes, traditional music, and religious ceremonies, offering a unique window into the rich cultural heritage of the region. As Mustang restricts tourism, witnessing the Teji Festival provides a rare and culturally immersive journey into this remote corner of Nepal.

with Camp Trek is one of the most enriching experiences in the Khumbu region. This mountain was named "Island Peak" in 1952 AD due to its location - in the middle of the valley, like an island rising from a sea of ice. It was renamed Imja Tse in the early 1980s, but most people still call it - Island Peak.

The Island Peak (6,189m /20,305ft) lies above Chhukung in the Khumbu region, and you can clearly see it from Dingboche. The peak arises from the middle of the Chhukung valley and is surrounded by Lhotse and Lhotse Shar glaciers.

Island Peak is an adventurous climb, and from the top, you can see the panoramic views of the entire Khumbu region - Mt Nuptse (7,879m), Mt Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m), and still unclimbed - Lhotse Shar (8,383m) to its north. In the east lies the red granite mass of Mt Makalu (8,475m) and Cho Polu (6,734m), Mt Baruntse (7,720m), and the majestic Ama Dablam (6,856m).

There is no doubt that Himalayan peaks have drawn adventurers, climbers, and cultural enthusiasts to this region for many decades. Among trekking peaks in Nepal, the Island Peak is the most popular as it is suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers/climbers.

Island Peak Climbing offers an exhilarating experience beyond simply trekking to Everest Base Camp(5,364m/17,598ft). By climbing the Island Peak, you will stand on the summit of a mountain that rises to 6,189m.

& PEAK for 2022
The Lobuche Peak is the second most popular climbing peak in the Khumbu Region after Island Peak. It too follows the classic Everest Base Camp Trek route up to Gorakshep (5180m).
Starting with a scenic flight into the high altitude airport at Tenzing Hillary airport Lukla, your first trek to Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery.
These locations are well known for their interesting past, locations and, in the case of Tengboche Monastries, stunning views. Still following the Everest Base Camp Trek we reach 5,550 m at Kalapatthar where are marvelous views of Mount Everest and surrounding high peaks. You spend the night at Gorakshep (5,180 m) and explore Everest Base Camp.
Our trail to Lobuche Peak diverts from the regular trekking route. Lobuche Base Camp is at Lobuche Village itself and High Camp is situated at 5,400 m from the sea level.
Highlights of the Adventure:
• The ultimate achievement of summiting Lobuche Peak and that too within a short time frame.
• Unparalleled views of the Khumbu Valley’s giants
• A great introductory expedition into Himalayan climbing
• Relish the grand feeling of being at the lap of the world highest peak- Mt. Everest
• Get acquainted with the unique and warm, hospitable Sherpa people
• Splendid mountain scenery accompanies you all through the journey
