RIDE TO GORKHA 2021 I SUPPORTED BY PANCBIKE I 10 - 11 JAN 2021

Ride to Gorkha Durbar was started in 2020 in order to remember our great ancestor King Prithivi Narayan Shah in his birthplace on his birth date. Contribution made by King Prithivi Narayan Shah is never forgettable and he remains in our heart. When someone wants to know about the history of Nepal, his vision, determination and works to unify smaller kingdoms to current big Nepal are always explained with pride. This is the reason that we are never colonized in whole Asia.

This ride aims to promote tourism through cycling in Gorkha. We would like to express our great gratitude and respect to the founder of our nation, King Prithivi Narayan Shah, on the special day.

The itinerary for the event is given below:

Itinerary:

Day 1 (10 Jan 2021): Gather in Basantapur Durbar at 6 AM sharp. Then, ride to Kalanki for the bus. Then load a bike in the bus. Packed breakfast in the bus consists of chana, eggs, alu jeera and tea). Then ride to Ramailo Dada (Kurintar) by 12:30.

Lunch break at Ramailo Dada Thakali Guest House. At 2 PM sharply, start the ride to Gorkha It’s mostly gradual uphill following the rivers like Trishuli, Marsyangdi and Daraudi. Reach to Gorkha by 5 PM.

Dinner, campfire and overnight at standard hotel @ Gorkha (BBQ can be arranged in own cost).

Total ride for day one is around 40-50 km.

Day 2 (11 Jan 2021): Wake up at 5:30 AM. Then ready to ride for Mountain View @ Children Park/Café De Chautari. Breakfast @ Café De Chautari. Then ride to Gorkha Durbar, Bhimsen Park and ride down to Gorkha Durbar Museum. Then, participate in the program organized by Gorkha District Administration on the auspicious occasion of Prithivi Jayanti. Lunch @ hotel by 1 PM. Then drive back to Kathmandu in the bus.

Total ride for day two is around 30-40 km.

Price:
The cost per person for the event is NPR 3,000 per person for the one night two days package.

Includes:
• Two-way bus fare including the cycle transportation cost.
• Two lunches, two breakfasts, one dinner and one-night accommodation in a sharing basis on a Standard Hotel (with sanitation and hygiene).
• Bike mechanics and leaders for the event.

Excludes:
• BBQ and drinks during the event.
• Insurance of the cyclist for the trip.
• The things which are not mentioned above.

The above ride is easy/moderate and would like to request to join every one of you for the special event
