Welcome to SNOWLEOPARD CAVE which is truly unique and amazing cave of Mustang which is located at the heart of Thini Village. The cave have been occupied and abandoned alternately throughout their existence. Most recently been used by Monks (Lamas) as place of meditation and seclusion. Many of caves that have been found are burial caves and contain extensive example. Thini
compromises important habitat of rare and endangered fauna ranging from alpine to sub-alpine zone. The forest and high altitude pasture are home to the endangered Snow Leopard ( Panthera Uncia). This is the place where most of the reseachers come for the research on rare Snow Leopard. Already four Snow Leopard were captured through camera trap which was done by NTNC ACAP Project. So the name of these caves is decided to be Leopard Cave. The villager facing problem with Snow Leopard because it's killed many domestic animals of them. Although they are trying to save the leopards because they know this is the place of Snow Leopard. The kingdom of Snow Leopard. Thank you!
