Our recently refurbished Maiden of Milford has not one, but two food & beverage outlets on board! Choose from a wide range of hot and cold refreshments from the Café / Bar downstairs, or head to the Minibar upstairs to sample a local beer or wine. A perfect way to complement the stunning scenery!

Maiden of Milford cruises depart 9:30am, 12pm and 2:30pm daily. We look forward to seeing you on board ✨

Stirling Falls.

The waterfall is named after Captain Stirling, who sailed the HMS Cleo into Milford Sound during the 1870s.

You can see this waterfall in the distance when standing on the shore in Piopiotahi / Milford Sound, but it's best enjoyed from the deck of a Pure Milford boat!

Rivers of ice thousands of metres wide once descended from the Southern Alps, carving a path to the sea. When the Earth eventually warmed, the glaciers melted and slowly disappeared. In their place, they left behind deep valleys, which became fiords. Left behind also are the sheer cliffs, hanging valleys and spectacular waterfalls for all to see on a memorable Piopiotahi / Milford Sound sightseeing cruise.

Take your time to appreciate your surroundings when you first arrive in Milford Sound. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of cruises and activities, but we love the idea of walking the foreshore walk, this 30-minute loop along the waterfront first. This walk is an easy stroll along the perfectly positioned boardwalk. It takes you through small sections of beech forest before peeking out to viewing points of Mitre Peak.
