Check out our beautiful Akaroa sea glass fish made by Akaroa Sea Glass Art. Our lounge wall showcases a commissioned piece of 8 fish in a school, but individual fish can be ordered and purchased as well $40 each! Whenever we visit our beautiful apartment we always get a takeaway gourmet burger from the Madeira Hotel. Totally the best in town, and even better enjoyed on the balcony for a tasty dinner treat. Highly recommended!

Here we have the Berrylicious but there are other tasty flavours to choose from too - a yummy afternoon treat. The friendly local sparrows in the cute outdoor seating area love the leftovers. Come and stay at Akaroa Rendezvous and you can also enjoy one on the apartment balcony - they do takeaways too!

A gorgeous Autumn Saturday in Akaroa. Over the road and across the bridge from the apartment is our favourite sitting place to enjoy the gorgeous outlook towards the boatshed and lighthouse. We love to take across a hot coffee or tea and take in the different birdlife. Currently the native pigeons have moved on, having stripped all the berries from the tree opposite the apartment, but there are prolific Tui, Bellbirds and Fantails. The birdsong is magnificent! Today we spotted this NZ S**g enjoying the last of the sun for the day just by the bridge. We love how the apartment is located so close to the restaurants, bars and shops while also surrounded by the local wildlife, hills and sea. It's location really offers the best of everything. Come and see for yourself!

This is what you can expect during the Autumn and Winter on a clear day in beautiful Akaroa. A leisurely stroll along the waterfront from the apartment (about 10 minutes walk) brings you to The Brasserie, one of the best places to enjoy a beautifully made morning coffee and a freshly baked danish. The garden setting is just gorgeous on a sunny Sunday morning....we highly recommend!
