🌞 That feeling when we've passed the Winter Solstice and the daylight hours are slowly increasing day by day! 🌞

Day 2 of the Dusky dolphins gracing us with their presence 🐬 This time swimming along side our local Hector’s dolphins ✨Albie our dolphin spotting dog, in prime position soaking it all in🐶
Dusky dolphin cuteness alert ⚠️ Look at that little baby go 🐬
Disclaimer: These little treasures aren't regulars in our harbour, so when they show up it's an exciting time! From what we observed today on both our 12.45pm and 3.15pm cruises this is a nursery pod... Such a special treat 🫶

🌏Celebrating 'World Ocean Day' in true Akaroa Dolphins style 🐋🐬
It was incredible to witness this beautiful lone Humpback whale milling around with our tiny Hectors dolphins.
It's always so humbling to be in their presence.
Thanks for visiting our back yard on World Ocean Day 🙏

Good vibes on board! A wedding party private charter got to witness a pod of majestic Orca heading north this morning - a sign of good omen for the newlyweds. 💙🐬
In honor of #WorldWhaleDay, here's a fun fact: Did you know that despite their name, Orca also known as Killer Whales are actually the largest member of the dolphin family? 🌏🐋
Today we celebrate our 19th birthday.🎈It is such a privilege to be able to share our backyard with others. We pinch ourselves every day🐬🐶🛥🙌
This video is an oldie (4 years) but still a goodie.
Dusky dolphins
Our guests and crew had front-row seats today watching the Dusky dolphins on a field trip visiting our Hector’s dolphins. #specialsighting 😍

Hector’s dolphins aren’t renowned for jumping but when they do it sure is amazing!
Thanks to our guest David Lindvall who shared this footage after our 12.45pm cruise today.

#RareMoment Can you spot the difference?
A wow moment on our 12.45 pm cruise today where we spotted a Dusky dolphin and Hector’s dolphins swimming side by side 🐬🥰✨
Magical ✨💙🐬
Beautiful video was taken by our guide Marie L G Waghorn
** BABY ALERT **
We've just seen the first Hector's dolphin calf of the season in the harbour. 🐬👏🏼 It's always a very exciting time of the year for us, as the Hector's dolphins are classified as endangered, with the population slowly recovering one baby at a time. 🥰 #newborn
