Fiiiiiiiinally, the Central Otago I signed up for! The inversion layer was followed by rain and wind, so it has been very dismal lately. BUT the brilliant blue skies are out today and with a fresh dusting of snow on the surrounding ranges, the classic Central winter is here! 🎉🎉

🟢 Alexandra-Clyde River Track closed periodically in June for maintenance

The Alexandra-Clyde River Track will be closed for periods from 6 June on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays for the next three to four weeks, depending on conditions. The track will be closed from 8am to 3pm on those days.
There will be no access to parts of the track when the tree work is being carried out. Tree felling signage and danger tape will be in place. The Otago Rail Trail on the other side of the river will provide an alternative route on the closure days.
The track will be fully open on the other four days of the week, from Friday to Monday.

Pictured below, a recent snap taken of fallen willows on the track. We love our track, and it's a constant challenge to keep it tidy and safe, yet still picturesque and pleasant for users.
