Throw back Thursday on Friday 😂 this was an epic trip I did back in 2011. Group coach travel no matter what age you are is a great way to make new friends and see the world in a way you didn’t think you could. We went through Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, London and Paris what a trip! One I will never forget. New Entry requirements for Bali!

In response to the recent declaration of Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, Indonesia has implemented measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Effective 30 August, all international travellers arriving in Indonesia must complete the SATUSEHAT Health Pass. The health pass can be accessed here: https://sshp.kemkes.go.id .

A QR Code is required for every traveller, including children.

Whilst travellers will be required to show their QR Code at the Health Quarantine Line on arrival, airlines may start asking travellers to complete the form upon departure from their home country within the next few days and/or weeks

Throw back Thursday! Back in 2008 Simon and I set off on our big European OE! We had both travelled abit prior (Simon more so than I) but this was that trip ‘if we can travel together we can live together’ 😂 well that worked out phew 😮‍💨 we did 4 week through Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria & France. We were over Salami and cheese by the end but it was after this trip I came home and knew what career path I wanted! And 16 years later I’m loving it more than ever! ✈️

🙌🏼 It’s been a busy week on the ranch!! We now have 4 lambs we are feeding! 🍼🍼 4 I can deal with!! 👉🏼It’s also been a crazy work week - lots of clients locking in their winter holidays for next year especially to Fiji 🏝️and Bali, and a couple of last minute trips to Aussie locked in too! TGIF 🥂😂 have a great weekend all I’m looking forward to the warm spring like temps!! Ready to get out on my garden 🪴

Hey guys, first stop I’ve parked up at the their new site in Russley road this morning - it’s only a 2min drive to the airport. I booked online a couple of days ago and for the 4 days it’s only cost me $60. Fabulous service and safe & secure parking (and they do car washes ✔️) Make sure next time you head to the airport you use them!

I have just had clients arrive back from
Their amazing winter escape to Fiji.
They stayed at the Hilton in Denarau and had the best time.
They did a range of activities- south sea island, Fiji Cutural Tour and a sunset cruise.

🛑Cordless GHDs Can’t Fly 🛑

A caution to those with the ghd cordless hair straighteners—you can no longer fly ex New Zealand with these modern marvels. 🚫😞🚫

Due to a change in AvSec guidelines the cordless ghds are no longer permitted in carry-on or checked baggage because they do not have a travel mode.

However, for those with the Dyson cordless version—you are still all good to pop these in your carry-on bag as they do have a ‘flight mode’.

The friendly folk as AvSec are being as accommodating as possible—& travellers may be able to pick up their straighteners on their return to New Zealand.

China visa-free Policy for NZ Passport Holders

From 0:00 on 1 July 2024 to 24:00 on 31 December 2025, Beijing time, citizens holding ordinary passports of New Zealand traveling to China for business, tourism, family visit or transit purposes with the duration not exceeding 15 days, are eligible for visa-free entry from open sea, land, air ports of China.

Travellers who are staying for longer than 15 days, not on an ordinary passport or are travelling for reasons other than business, tourism, family visit or transit purposes will still need to apply for a visa before entering China, this can be arranged via Visa Atlas or direct with the Chinese Visa office, as usual.

Another flight cancellation for tomorrow morning.
Luckily I was notified quickly and managed to still get my clients over tomorrow via Auckland.
We changed the car collection time, advised the hotel of the later arrival so they are still all good to get on the plane tomorrow.
No stress for my clients and happy they still get to leave tomorrow!!!phew!!!

Really good to have a travel agent and insurance when this happens - I had clients on the flight that was turned around back to Auckland - I also had clients in Bali waiting for that flight to come home
Bali guys are stoked for an extra ‘free’ night in Paradise, the guys in Auckland have two free nights accommodation via Air NZ and have been rebooked to fly out Sunday.
Ok result all round - comforting for my Clients knowing they can call me to get sorted!

What you need to know about the Reciprocal Health Agreement between NZ & Australia/UK

There is some costs that will be covered but you still need to take a full cover Travel Insurance Policy out when travelling to these countries as there is some costs that may not be covered -

The following items may not be covered under the RHA:

Specialists fees
*GP fees
*X-rays and pathology testing
*Prescriptions
*Ambulance costs
*Private hospital costs. You might need to go to a private hospital if it’s detrimental to your health to wait for tests/treatment at a public hospital, or if the nearest available hospital is private and the public hospitals are full. Our policies hold an exclusion for private treatment, so any treatment sought at a private facility needs to be first approved by our emergency assistance team.
Repatriation costs. It may be medically necessary to bring you* home for continued treatment or rehabilitation. The RHA will not cover the cost of the flight home and depending upon the type of flight chartered, it can cost up to $200k.
*Airline ticket upgrades. Your customer may need their airline ticket upgraded if medically necessary or they may require a medical es**rt. Both items will incur additional costs and are not covered by a RHA.
