The School News Term 2 essential industry guide has gone live online.
Check out the special report on pages 10-11 about school travel being reborn and how the School Travel Collective Inc (STC) is creating change in the school travel sector.
This has been achieved by STC member companies self regulating the industry, by setting the highest standards across financial protection, health & safety which is now expected by all schools across NZ when choosing a school travel provider.

THE SCHOOL TRAVEL COLLECTIVE - WHY? The School Travel Collective (STC) was formed to help reset and provide confidence in the school travel sector after Covid-19.

To assist schools in regaining confidence, the three leading student group travel companies (Defining Moments, Tour Time and Travel to Learn) who are Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) financially bonded, formed the Student Travel Collective (STC). This association has been set up to address the two primary concerns of parents (and schools): Is my child safe? Are my funds safe?

For several years these TAANZ financially bonded specialist education travel companies have been communicating with TAANZ and the MOE over their best practice guidelines and the general lack of information in the marketplace about the risks involved in using unbonded companies for domestic and overseas school travel.

STC Members set the benchmark for financial stability, through the cornerstone of TAANZ financial bonding and reporting to ensure security and peace of mind for schools and their communities. Additionally, protecting students through rigorous health and safety, duty of care practices and adopting Ministry of Education (MOE) best practice guidelines.
