🐎 The big 'E' is on its way back! 🐎

Huge thanks to ATR for providing some jumpouts today. 5 horses from our stable enjoyed a nice gallop on the refurbished racing surface. Massive thanks to Bridget for all her help on the ground as well as the three jockeys who partnered with our runners, Tristan Moodley, Tayla Mitchell and Billy Jacobson.

Today is the final day of the 2023/2024 Racing Season and we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone for the past year 😊🙏

To all our fantastic owners. Without your ongoing and loyal support we would have nothing. You are all such great friends and we feel honored that you entrust us with your horse. You guys are the key to the racing industry and without you as owners, there would be no racing. As you all you owners know, we have an "open door" policy at our Stables- where you are always welcome to come visit our Stables or watch trackwork - come and be apart of your investment and interest.

Finally, to our support team - our main trackwork riders Tory, Clint, Mel and Bridget, and a few others here and there - thank you for the early morning efforts in all sorts of weather, all year around. Our farrier Ricky, our vets Murray and Kara and our physio Clare; thank you for everything - we appreciate it so so much!

From our little team here in Pukekohe, we'd like to pass on our sincere congratulations to Warren Kennedy on his great achievement this season.

Warren has ridden for us a number of times on racedays, as well as also being so willing to come along to local jumpouts to partner our horse's, then share his valuable knowledge with us and our owners. He is an absolute gentleman, a master of his craft, and NZ Racing is all the better for having such a great man in the industry.

Gumboot weather today as we head to our local track of Pukekohe for the races today.

Both Kerbline & Forever Young line up in Race 6 at 2.33pm. Both with good senior jockeys on board, Joe Doyle and Billy Jacobson respectively.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of pre-training many quality horses for other stables including horses such as Saint Alice, Waitak, Destination, & Spanish Whisper just to name a few.

This new addition is no exception - arriving yesterday, quality Charm Spirit filly "I'munstoppable" has come to us to be prepared for her upcoming spring & summer campaign for Wexford Stables.

A huge thanks for her owners who have been such loyal supporters of ours, but also Wexford Stables who have entrusted us to care and prepare her.

Peter & Dawn Williams - the most amazing partnership in NZ Racing that we've been so proud to be a small part of over the years.

We are very grateful for having the opportunity to have had so many lovely horses in our stable for pre-training. The support and advice has been second-to-none and something we are forever grateful for. You've always included our stable in your operations as well as introduce us to many wonderful people.

It won't be the same not having you guys around, but nonetheless you deserve a happy and healthy retirement back in Canterbury.

A great run today by 'Kerbline' in the Hallmark Stud 1200m race at our home track of Pukekohe Park this afternoon, running into 2nd place under the guidance of local Jockey Sam Spratt. Giving the winner a 6kg advantage difference in weight; this makes his run more commendable in the heavy track conditions. Congratulations to his owner Mr. I. R. Waters.

A nice day out at the Avondale Jockey Club for their trials meeting with three runners from the stable.

Kerbline took out his 800m heat impressively under the guidance of Sam Spratt and he looks to have a nice campaign ahead. Also, a nice 3YO Belardo Gelding by the name of 'Berenhard' won his respective heat too. Thank you to all our wonderful owners once again.

Our little consistent stable star 'Burgundy Iff' went another honest race today under the guidance of Group 1 Jockey Sam Spratt; and finished a brave 4th.

Here is a lovely video we got sent of "Jessie" pre-race by the connections of this lovely mare. She may not be big, but she is certainly tough and always puts her best hoof forward

The best part is seeing the owners on course enjoy the day and loving the racing and their horse. Onwards and upwards 😊❤️

HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND 🐰🍫

It's a Group 1 day at Ellerslie Racecourse today and we head up there with two horses.

🐴☆ Ms Candee Lane takes her place in Race 3 at 1.35pm over the 1200m trip. Resuming after a freshen up, she comes into this race after winning a recent jumpout very impressively and she has the services of Kozzi Asano

🐴☆ Burgundy Iff steps out in the last race at 4.39pm over 1600m. Put a line through last start, she again comes into this well and never really goes a bad race. Today she'll have Sam Spratt on board and has come through her recent jumpout at Ellerslie in good order.

Monday's jumpouts at Ellerslie saw a nice 3YO Gelding by Belardo take out Heat 10 over 800m. A nice progressive type who will only improve after this smart win. Nice to have another promising young horse in the stable

Thank you to Paul Wilcox and Pukekohe Park General manager Mark Knowles for arranging a set of jumpouts today at Ellerslie Racecourse. This is a great training tool to allow Stables to prepare for upcoming trials and races. We took the opportunity to jumpout four of our team today all of which ran well.

Thanks to our team of riders back home for putting so much effort and care into preparing our team so well.

From all of us here at Jeffcoat Racing, we'd like to pass on our best wishes and good luck to local Byerley Park trainers, Peter & Dawn Williams; as well as their owners Barneswood Farm Ltd (Sarah, Chris, Sophie, Harry and Ger) and their Group 1 horse "Desert Lightning" as he takes his rightful place in the $3.6 million All Star Mile at 6.15pm this evening in Melbourne.

What a huge achievement to be taking part in such an iconic race representing New Zealand. A real team effort by all involved and we hope to see 'Ernie' running well for you all this evening at Caulfield. Enjoy it guys and have a really great day!

As the 2022/2023 Racing season draws to a close today, we reflect on what a great and fun season we have had.

A huge thanks to our whole team, our loyal and hard working trackwork riders; Clint, Tory, Mel, and the many others who have chipped in, our Farrier Ricky Cook, our Vet Murray Gilmore, our Equine Physio Clare McGowan and the many others - without you guys supporting us we wouldn't be the team we are.

Of course we don't have a job or racing stable if it wasn't for our loyal and fantastic group of owners. Many of you are long time family friends and we are extremely grateful of the genuine support you show us. We try our absolute hardest for the best results you all deserve.

Last but not least, our team of horse's. We are very lucky to have some quality Thoroughbreds in the stable for the new season of 2023/2024 including Burgundy Iff, Rochmie Ray, Forever Young, Stringline, Kerbline, Superette, and some nice young stock by some exciting stallions like Satono Aladdin, Ace High, Turn Me Loose, & Embellish.

Great to see a filly we sold recently after her one and only trial here in NZ win on debut in Australia today for OTI Racing and Matthew Williams Racing. A classy filly with plenty more installed.

It's been a while since our last update but things continue to tick along well here at our stable.

We have been very fortunate that all of our horses that have lined up at either the races, trials or jumpouts in the past few months have all been performing extremely well and they all have been finishing within the top 5. Most recently Kerbline has run two nice races, Mylett and Ms Candee Lane both ran credit races this week, stable stars Burgundy Iff and Rochmie Ray are back in work, and consistent performer Forever Young isn't far away from returning. We also have a few 2YO's and 3YO's waiting to step out which we are looking forward too including an Ace High, Satono Aladdin, Rip Van Winkle and Embellish; just to name a few.

We are only a small stable compared to others but we pride ourselves on been 'hands on' and involved with our horse's- Quality not quantity. We are very appreciative of our support team around us which includes our trackwork riders, farrier, vet, stable staff, etc.

Also, last but no least; we wouldn't be able to do it without the loyal support we are so lucky to get from our owners. Without owners; we don't have a job and don't have an industry. You guys mean the world to us and we are looking forward to the new season ahead. We hope to enjoy much more success together.
