π The big 'E' is on its way back! π
Huge thanks to ATR for providing some jumpouts today. 5 horses from our stable enjoyed a nice gallop on the refurbished racing surface. Massive thanks to Bridget for all her help on the ground as well as the three jockeys who partnered with our runners, Tristan Moodley, Tayla Mitchell and Billy Jacobson.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of pre-training many quality horses for other stables including horses such as Saint Alice, Waitak, Destination, & Spanish Whisper just to name a few.
This new addition is no exception - arriving yesterday, quality Charm Spirit filly "I'munstoppable" has come to us to be prepared for her upcoming spring & summer campaign for Wexford Stables.
A huge thanks for her owners who have been such loyal supporters of ours, but also Wexford Stables who have entrusted us to care and prepare her.
Our little consistent stable star 'Burgundy Iff' went another honest race today under the guidance of Group 1 Jockey Sam Spratt; and finished a brave 4th.
Here is a lovely video we got sent of "Jessie" pre-race by the connections of this lovely mare. She may not be big, but she is certainly tough and always puts her best hoof forward
The best part is seeing the owners on course enjoy the day and loving the racing and their horse. Onwards and upwards πβ€οΈ
Great to see a filly we sold recently after her one and only trial here in NZ win on debut in Australia today for OTI Racing and Matthew Williams Racing. A classy filly with plenty more installed.
'Forever Young' completing some pacework training this morning at Pukekohe Park in readiness for his next raceday start which is this Saturday back here at his home track - Race 2 at 12:40pm.
Zawadi. Win number 3.
'Zawadi' wins his 3rd race in Australia today with an impressive victory at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club over 1800m with Mark Du Plessis in the saddle. Just great to see these colours carried to victory in Australia - huge thanks to Mark for his ride, and of course Paul Jenkins for all his hard work. πππ₯π
Puke Jumpout
A great day at the Pukekohe Jumpouts today with 5 runners from our stable for, 2 winners, two 2nds and one 3rd. Thank you to our jockeys today, Masa Hashizume, Doni Prastiou and Jaqui Filmore.
All the horses performed very nicely and look to be shaping up well for the Spring and Summer Racing. A massive thanks must go to our team of great trackwork riders who take a lot of pride in each of our horse's, and to the owners for placing them in our stable. We truly appreciate all of the wonderful support.
Video: "Fullbore" and "The Chrome Nun" finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in their heat.
Arabia. Tauranga
Arabia goes so close once again in Race 5 today at Tauranga, but again had to settle for 2nd place. π₯another great effort by the mare by #charmspirit and she certainly deserves her spot in the winner circle. A huge thank you must go to Tauranga based trainer, Brian McKegg and his fantastic staff for their great and loving care of her today. ππ
Pukekohe Jumpout. Heat 7.
We had another busy morning at the track today with four horse's from our stable having jumpouts on the course proper at Pukekohe Park
π Lady De Winter has kick off her new campaign and ran a very tidy 3rd place and looks to have returned much bigger and stronger.
π We had a nice 3YO El Roca Gelding win his heat, making it two jumpout wins now so all going well he will progress towards the trials. He looks an exciting and progressive horse going forward.
π Finally, we also had a lovely 2YO Proisir Filly win her respective 2YO heat in a nice manner. She is quite a forward type of filly and has taken natural improvement from everything we have done thus far and we are excited about her future.
All in all, a great and positive morning. Huge thanks to all our great team behind us and of course the owners of these horse's. Looking forward to what's ahead ππ€

Zawadi win
'Zawadi' justified his strong favoritism on the tote this evening with a really strong win over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast. Great to see the stable colours carried into the winners circle in Australia. Huge Thank You to Paul Jenkins Racing for all of their fantastic work! πππ
Jumpout. 5 Oct 2020.
A nice start to the week with Pukekohe Park holding jumpouts on the course proper this morning. Just one runner from our team with him being a winner of his heat. Looking forward to stepping this guy out in the future.
2YO Choisir Gelding - Prework
Another successful week of work for our team. Thanks to all our amazing support team- riders, farrier, vets, physio and of course our fantastic owners. Looking forward to stepping some out at the trials soon!
π₯ Masa Hashizume heading out to work a 2YO Choisir Gelding π
Two nice 2YO's currently going through their education process with us, one is a Proisir filly, the other is a Dundeel filly.
Quite cool to think that the sire's of these two fillies use to race each other back in Australia and are now both becoming good promising stallions.
Saturday morning games πππ
Whilst we haven't had any racing of late, that doesnt mean the work has stopped. Like most stables we are slowly ticking our team through the winter months and look forward to the Spring and Summer.
Three lovely 2YO fillies from the stable had a session of barrier education today and have got the idea of jumping and running pretty good.
Huge thanks to our entire team, who each day put in the hard yards rain, hail or shine, our main track riders, Jessica, Jenny, Kate, Rebecca, as well as our Farrier Ricky.
Happy horses, trainer, and owners.
Nothing like a cool down in the swimming pool for our lovely horses on these hot summers days! ππππββοΈ
Thank you to Megan for the photos.
Thirsty work being a race horse! π»ππ
Stable Update:
Whilst we have not had many active runners lately we continue to be working behind the scenes on the future young horses.
This video shows a 3YO 'Moshe' filly who is set to have a jumpout on Monday at Pukekohe and then continue onto the Avondale Trials - she is a half sister to the impressive 2YO winner "Xpressmymind" today.
We have another two 3YO's preparing to trial at Avondale as well at the end of this month before heading to the races. And the promising 'Markova' is in work after a while off the scene and won't take long before she steps back out.
A week has past since the stable sadly lost a little mare very close to our hearts. As many know, 'Maquis' or "Maggie" (as she is known around the stable), unfortunately broke down at Pukekohe and had to be humanly ethuinased.
It was a tragic end to a very short but wonderful career. She had only a mear 19 starts for 15 starts of weighing in and bringing a cheque home; included in that was her win at Avondale back in July. She was extremely consistent and tried 110% every time she stepped out onto the track.
Our horses mean the absolute world to us and they get 110% care 24 hours of every day; no stone goes unturned and we try to look after them the best we can so in turn they can hopefully deliver on race day for us and their connections.
Losing this beautiful little mare was heart-breaking for us, and others who were closely involved with her. We would like to thank everyone who has either called, texted, left messages, visited us during the past week, and also the people who were there race day to comfort us- the support we have received has been so amazing and humbling that words cannot describe it. We truly appreciate it alot.
As the new week rolls around, we will not forget her; but we also look forward to the next generation of young horses ready to step up to the mark.
A couple of weeks ago we travelled to Melbourne and took up the opportunity to visit our good friends at Darren Weir Racing and look around his amazing stable complex based at Ballarat plus check out the amazing complex of the Ballarat Turf Club.
We are proud to have such a great friendship with Darren and his team and to also have horses based in Melbourne for future racing.
