Our "Private Auckland Wine & Dine Matakana Country & Cuisine" tours are becoming more and more popular. Enjoy a special tour from Auckland to the beautiful Matakana region just an hour north of the city, showcasing stunning scenery including golden sand beaches, huge Kauri trees, as well as a vibrant food & wine selection with among other things honey, cheeses, yoghurts, wine, chocolate, ice cream and organic blueberries to choose from. Our business name TIME is an acronym 'To Integrate Māori Experiences' . Our legacy plan is based on the whakatauki "Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua. I walk backwards into the future with my eyes fixed on my past". It emphasizes the equal importance and strong links we make between people and places we visit. Our Tāmaki based pakihi Māori is about being of service to manuhiri, industry, iwi/hāpu and community stakeholders where the past, the present and the future are viewed as intertwined. We therefore customise each experience to showcase the many treasures of Tāmaki as a unique meeting place and a special place many call home. As part of their journey, we want our manuhiri (leisure or business visitors) to leave our place and its people in a culturally, socially, environmentally and economically better space where legends and legacies can be uplifted through meaningful connections.

Recently, Aotearoa/New Zealand celebrated Matariki, the Maori New Year. Matakana Village’s (1 hour north of Auckland) second annual Matariki Market shone brightly on Matariki public holiday Friday 28 June. Our daughter Danica Matariki Sperath (her middle name is Matariki because she was born at Matariki 15 years ago) offered facepainting for the kids and was a real hit with them! What a delight to recently be able to visit "The Beehive" in Wellington, our capital. This is the name usually given to the Executive Wing of New Zealand Parliament Buildings in Wellington. It is called "The Beehive" because of its shape! It is registered as a Category I heritage building by Heritage New Zealand. This photo shows our Co-Founder & Co-Director Neill Sperath at the lectern where usually our Prime Minister stands during press conferences, so that was fun!

She gives us a lot of joy and ALWAYS loves a walk, food and her favourite, a belly scratch! This photo was taken using an unusual perspective from below. Honey has a bark that reminds us of King Kong while up close, she couldn't be more full of life and love! With her in the photo is Neill, our Co-Founder & Co-Director.
